Blind Faith

Your lifestyle is your religion.  It is not what you say in church one day a week or what you believe is true or how much money is in your bank account.  That doesn't matter.  There are different types of Buddhism according to your personality.

Theravada is about retreating to the monestary, being vegan, celibate, living off of alms, not fighting and attaining nirvana for yourself.  Mahayana is based on the premise of attaining kensho, teaching dharma for all your years, and then dying and finding bliss.

There are different schools of Buddhism.  Tibetan Buddhism is about meditating until you find spiritual powers and can do great things.  There is also Zen Buddhism where your lifestyle is your religion.  People in Japan do not go to church or even visit monks or priests.  They are not religious people.  Their life is their offering.  The way you eat, sleep, shit, make love, fight, do art, do music, cook a meal, sing a song, even the porno is influenced by their beliefs.

The reason America is so miserable is because they abandon faith, because if you are religious you can't fuck and fight and play your guitar and make sweet love to a woman.  But this comes from a guilty conscience.  And it comes from wrong science undermining faith.  All the ideas of the 19th century were wrong, and technology ruined our lives.

Chuck Berry was a shrewd man who executed a strategy to manipulate the youth market.  With the advent of farm technology, you did not need to work the farm during the summer and a 15 year old boy could work a day job and spend his hard earned money on his girlfriend, comic books, and rock albums.  So Chuck Berry saw an opportunity to sell black music to white kids with the loot.  He was not evil, he was just shrewd.  But I dig his sound.

So you can reconcile religion and having a good time.  It turns out, religious people have the most fun, because they have the most passion and most desire.  They are great lovers, they will fight if they have to, their music is better than Eric Clapton on his best day, and some food at the church is not too shabby.

So everything is its opposite in Tao.  The obvious thing is not true.  The counterintuitive is true.  Soft men are hard, hard men are punks.  Softness is power, that is where Judo and Jujutsu comes from.  Yielding is strength.

So I have no declared religion.  I read the Tao Te Ching and the Baghavad Gita and it helped me master the concepts of msyticism.  When you master your mind, you become more efficient than a computer.  But ultimately, all we do amounts to nothing, because mortal men are day flies.  Just have fun while you can and be humble.  There are immortals in the bible, inlcuding Enoch the Wise, Elijah the Prophet, and Ezra became Ezrae-el.  So there are two immortals and one transcendent immortal in the bible.

I know prophets are always martyred.  They martyred Bob Marley.  But the life of an ectastic healer is better than the life of Peter North or Bill Gates.  One gets to blast women's faces and the other has Machivellian schemes to take over the world.  I admire Peter North more than I admire Bill Gates.

So the beat goes on and I continue.  There is no meaning to life, we simply live to keep living.  So I keep living and keep surviving.  And by not being ambitious, I accomplish a lot of things and I just give it away because I don't care about money.  The best people I met in my life did not like money.  They just liked a peaceful lifestyle.  I met a vetrinarian who said, "Money cannot buy happiness"  It's just worldly value.  Health is worth more.  So is integrity.

So I will just keep doing what I do, and be happy with it.

Requiem for a Cruiserweight

When I was young, I had high hopes.  I thought I would be a boxer and pornstar and a rock n roll musician.  But now that I am past 40 years of age, I realize show business is a big cosmic joke.

The media is lying you.  I was taught at SUNY Stonybrook that when you watch something in the media, ask yourself, why are they saying this?  What's their motivation?  What's in it for them?

The media is fake.  Hollywood, MMA, boxing, porno, and the music industry is extremely corrupt.  I still like some blues music, some porno, and some boxing.  But when I see it, I know it is fake, so it cannot affect me inwardly.  Hollywood and MMA is a joke and it insults my intelligence.  The actors these days are more handsome but cannot iterate a word.  They speak like a an autistic boy who ran low on his prescription of Ritalin.

MMA is for ass clowns.  If I jumped into the cage, I might kill a man with those four ounce little shits on.  There is a reason why they wear small gloves.  They possess less punching power.  The best backgrounds for MMA include freestyle wresling and no gi grappling.  But these skills are almost useless in a weapons situation or a surprise attack.  Stealth and Weapons is combat.  Self Defense is for children.  Grow up, man.

Hollywood is a joke.  If you take one bullet in the arm, you fall down crying even if you don't die.  You take one bullet to the chest or head, you are dead in a flash.  So I do not want to see Bruce Willis in an army outfit with fake M-16 in his hand cutting down a thousand enemy soldiers while his black sidekick gets killed in the first scene.  This is obviously fake shit and it insults me.

This post is about the disillusionment of youth.  You must realize that by 18 you are no longer a child and must fend for yourself.  Your parents can literally kick you out at age 18.  When I was 18, I was having a ball, and then when I turned 19, I lost my true love and became a heartbroken fool.  So I have spent over half my life in vain.

But when I discovered art, my whole life turned around.  I read a book about Haitan artists and one of them recanted his story.  He said, that at age 35, he considered his life a failure.  And then he discovered art.  And this turned his life around.

I was in my late 30s early 40s when I discovered art.  I spent the whole second half of 2018 doing line art.  Art is a type of mental health therapy and with it, I reduced my med regimen by over half.  I went from five meds to two meds and reduced the doses.  Most artists are crazy.  Most musicians are sex fiends.  Most poets cannot hold a day job.  Creative people have a lot of sexual energy.

So I see art as my salvation.  I finished TCM school in 2001 and got one patient in my entire career.  I graduated graphic design school in 2015 and the past five years have been great.  Things really took off in 2017 when I got a mentor who encouraged me to put my stuff out there and see what it gets me.  I put my music and books and designs out there and it worked.  I started small and now i am growing.

I want to de-emphasize music and copywriting and focus on more graphic design jobs and more books on nutrition.  You cannot succeed if you are not socially valued.  Show business is about popularity.  It has nothing to do with merit.  The best musicians are not in rock n roll.  The best guys are not in Hollywood.  The best fighers are not in MMA.  Get over fiction and learn to love reality.  Reality means the objective truth.  Ultimately, man does not live in objective reality.  He only perceives the world through his senses and recreates the world in his brain.  So none of us can say this is the real truth.  God is in objective reality, and we are by nature subjective and flawed.  When you know you don't know, then you know.  And when you attack, you create an opening for counter attack.

My training in judo and kickboxing and aikido taught me many moral parables.  In judo, there is only attack and counter attack.  If you stand still, they Osoto you down immediately.  You either attack or counterattack, and counterattack almost always wins.  The best judoka are strong and stable on their fate and have the reflexes of a jungle cat. Judo is a martial art but can be used as physical educaiton because it is healthy, makes you strong, and teaches you principles of success.

So the best experiences in my life were training sambo and San Da, learning art, playing music in public, and moving out of my mother's house.  What I am trying to say is, you develop after birth and death is not the end.  Your spirit existed before your birth and will live on after your death.  The afterlife does not matter and it doesn't matter if Hinduism or Buddhism or Jainism has the more accurate view of the afterlife.

The meaning of life is victory.  Winning is everything.  You must win a date, you must win a friend, you must win a job, you must win a ham sandwhich, you must win an immortal soul, you must win salvation.  Good will win in the end.  So I have no fear.

There is a quote from Taoist philosophy.  'Birth and Death are decreed.  Wealth and Honor rest with God.'  This means, when you are born and when you die is a matter of fate.  Whether you are successful, and honored and rich and married and have kids is up to you.  Your life is up to you, but when you are born and when you die, is not up to you.  So do not lament your birth or fear your death.  That is cowardly.  Do not worry about birth and death, worry about living an honorable life and leaving something to posterity.

I internalized a lot of bullshit in my life, and now I am more wiser.  With this wisdom, I can use it to help others  Before I am dead in the grave, I will do many artworks, write many books, teach many sutdents, and have some fun while I am at it.

So I do not lament my misspent youth.  Everything happens for a reason, and ulitmately everything happens for the good.

The Great Thing About Aikido

There are a panopoly of styles to choose from when selecting a martial arts school.  Since the advent of MMA, karate has lost popularity.  It went from being the master to being the champion.

But anyone who understands MMA knows it is based on wrestling with elements of Muay Thai and Submission Grappling.  Most succesful MMA guys have freestyle wrestling backgrounds.

But this is kids stuff.  I don't like MMA and the bully beatdowns.  I have been involved in Shootfighting, judo, and Combat Sambo since 1998.  And I am tired of it.  Self Defense is a mythology.  Nobody after high school or college age brawls to see who is better.  Self Defense and kumite is by nature just an exercise.  Don't take yourself so seriously.

When you are 30 or older, but still interested in survival and combat, take up Aikido or Tai Chi.  Anything real has a competitive element to it.  If you are too dangerous to spar, you don't the timing and reflexes of a trained fighter.

There is a kind of Aikido that involves randori or free-fighting.  It is called Tomiki Aikido.  I was fortunate enough to choose a judo school that also teaches karate, jujutsu, and tomiki aikido.  The Japanese martial arts is like a religion not just about being tough or brave.

Now that I am older, I realize violence is wrong.  I learned that young, fell back into depravity, only to return to my original face.  Tomiki Aikido is the best thing for me.

In Tomiki Aikido, there is a randori element to training.  It is the ideal martial art for the police, since it involves trapping, pinning, and defenses against stick, knife, and gun.  Karate is for children, and MMA is for brawlers.  I am not interested in MMA.

Judo was a big part of my life.  It looks cool, it is useful, and it is like wrestlemania.  But now that I am over 40, I would be beat by young guys with less talent.

So the great thing about Aikido is, even a slow, weak, crippled man can do it and learn to survive.  Eastern culture is not about morality or the bible or judgments of right and wrong.  It is simply about nature, and in nature, animals raise their children in hopes they will survive and carry on the genome.

So there is morality in nature, but we don't see it.  Just educating and feeding your children is morality.  Not do this don't do that.  That is hypocrisy.  Every Asian knows, there is no morality in food or sex.  Some eat pork bacon and some don't.  Some are celibate, some are monogamous, and some are polyamorous.  By nature, morality makes you a hypocrite.

So I admire the culture of China and Japan.  It all originated in India, but the Chinese and Indian are radically different people.  I like Indian food because i am more a western man than an eastern man, but I admire aspects of Chinese culture.

So I want to train judo and Aikido again and shut up.  I have talent in matwork and Aikido.  I feel USA Judo is not strong enough because we are amateurs competing against pros.  But the country will grow.

So the thing about Aikido is, you learn to distinguish combat from self defense.  Self Defense or brawling is for kids.  Combat means stealth and weapons, and is useful for survival.  You must survive, all ideas about the afterlife are hogwash.  Live for this life.  Food is good, sex is good, music is good, art is good, etc...

I dig Asian women and see them as the most delicate and refined.  Black girls are the opposite.  They are strong and sexy.  Every black dude secretly admires Bruce Lee, Chinese food, and the massage parlors.  I aint lying.

So I will continue my training in judo and Aikido and be happy with it.

Work and Work Out

Life in America is very simple.  You work a day job, you work out on the evenings, and you date on the weekends.  Friday and Saturday night is most appropriate to going to a bar or nightclub and socializing or dating your girlfriend or wife.

Of course, this lifestyle is ridiculous.  In Europe and Israel, people are much more loose and liberal and do what they feel.  America is a con game and we are being duped by our own government.  Nobody says when you must work and when you must play and when you must exercise.  This society is based on the plantation system and encourages conformity and submissiveness.

An intelligent man can see that this whole society is about slavery.  Without hard, physical black and mestizo men, we wouldn't be able to cultivate land in a temperate zone.  Man is not meant to live in a temperate zone.  He is meant to live in a semi tropical environment like Florida or Mexico or Jamaica.  Our main foodstuff should be fruit and rice.

So your whole life in America is eating coffee and eggs and bacon for breakfast to give you the strength to exchange 8 hours for some pesos and then go home, eat dinner, and raise your kids on the evenings and weekends.  This is not a real life.

But since I live in America, and have done so for the past 40 years, I must now learn to conform to the system in order to beat the system.  That is the only way to beat it.

My degree in graphic design will help me.  It helps me in work, in designing book covers, in designing album covers, in increasing my knowledge of computers.  The real ability to survive is the ability to adapt.  It is not about being faster or stronger or better.  The Olympics is just an ideal.  Sport is not reality.  Survival is nothing like wrestling or judo.  It is more like Tai Chi, in Kung fu, there are no winners and losers, there is only the quick and the dead.

So I must learn to survive an evil society.  I can work, and I can work out, and I can date on the weekends.  Even if my work is in graphic design or copywriting, I can use the money to get yoga classes and access to a pool, which keeps me rich and healthy, and then I can go out on the weekends to a strip joint and talk to strippers.  Sex workers are women just like any other woman.  1 out of 10 of them, are saints who are just honest women forced into a debaucherous business.  One out of 10 of anything is great.  This is called the Bell Curve.  When you write ten songs, 8 are average, 1 is terrible, and 1 is an exceptional song.  8 out of 10 of anything is just average.

So I am the 1 out of 10 disabled geniuses.  I am in the ranks of Nikola Tesla, Van Gogh, and Robert Johnson.  All three struggled in life, were dependent on others in life, but after death, became known as great geniuses who contributed to society.  Van Gogh invented impressionism, Robert Johnson invented the Delta Blues as we know it, and Tesla invented AC electric current, the radio, the television, and various other kinds of labor saving technology.  We would not have the modern era without Tesla.  And he gave away his knowledge for free, and died alone, with a pigeon as his true love.

There is nothing right about the world.  It simply an ammoral fight for resources.  Philosophy and religion is useless.  Tao is not religion or philosophy, it is observing what works in nature and what will help you survive.  So I am neither religious nor philosophical.  That would be a waste of time.  I simple observe what works and do what works.

So what works is increasing income streams and therefore increasing my money situation so I can exercise on the evenings and go to strippers on the weekend.  I see nothing ammoral about strippers.  All women get money for sex.  Free love is a myth.  So is self defense.  And rock n roll is a musical genre for children.  Hip Hop and Goth Metal are descendant versions of rock n roll.  I see through the illusion, so it doesn't affect me.  It is fake.

So living in a fake culture doesnt affect me.  Jesus was an outcast of his time too.  So I am in good company.  When you are opposite of the world, you are spiritual.  And when you embody the world's values, you are miserable and lusty and violent.  So I choose to buck the trend and simply survive in the world  but not assimilate to their cultural values.

Racially, I am an Irish Mestizo with a black grandmother.  That means I am mostly not black.  I am mostly a half blood in the old parlaiance.  I am neither black nor latino.  I was born in Central America, somehow made it to South Africa, was sold into slavery, went from Africa to Israel to New York.  So  I was a slave in the 20th and 21st centuries.  That is not right.  I don't have the niggardly characteristics of a slave.  I have the noble qualities of a prince.

So what I must do is learn to survive on my own.  I prefer to be alone most times.  I can socialize if I have to, but I don't go looking for compaionship.  The main thing in my life, is work, work out, date on the weekends.  Even if I live an atypical life, it is my life, and I am content with it.  So I keep living, and I keep improving.

So watch out for more designs, more illustrated books, more albums, and more blog posts.  I can't be stopped until it is my time to go.  I do not care about popularity.  I just want to be saved and save others in the process.  This is called Mahayana Buddhism.  You get enlightened to get happy, and then you teach the process to others so they can be happy too.

Get happy.

Things Are On The Up And Up

When you do a little bit every day, and never give up on yourself, you accumulate results and leave something to posterity.  Since 2017, I have been exploring all kinds of creative online work, and three years later, it is finally accumulating into something.

Since 2017, I released 6 albums, 2 books, and numerous articles and blog posts.  My life has changed drastically since learning how to survive.  Acupuncture didn't pay off.  Nobody wants a wholistic health doctor who goes to the strippety strip.  There is a lack of credibility here.

Judo is an amateur sport.  I went from boxing to judo to find out self defense is for children.  So I mastered a useless skill.

But now I am back in the saddle.  Since 2015, I have had a graphic design diploma that I have used in different ways to become a Creative Professional.  Overall, design is not where my heart is.  I do not see myself in an office.

But as an online musician and author, I have some success.  The trick is simple.  Do a little bit every day, and never give up on yourself.  I am determined to be somebody.  Right now, my instagram account is approaching 1000 followers, and my YouTube channel is growing.  I will insert links below.

So I found that I ended where I started.  A punk jew from Syosset playing his guitar to impress girls.  Life comes full circle.

If only I could get more guitar students, gig out more, play more Open Mics, and create Poster art in Photoshop, then I could diversify income streams and make a living as a professional musician.  I see the sponsered ads on Instagram, and these guys are delusional about their abilities.  All you see is a handsome young guy or girl with a fancy guitar in a fancy apartment playing a cover with speed and technical virtuousity.

But John Lee Hooker proved that that is all hogwash.  All you need is one chord, five notes, rhythm and soul, and the desire to be heard.  He had very little, and he did a lot with it.  Most musicians these days suck.  Because they think more is more.  That if I am fast and virtuoso talent, then I am better.  But I am right about this one.  Less is More.  The soul comes through the music, it doesn't matter how talented you are.

So I will continue this trend.  Every day, I look at YouTube and Instagram and check on my account balances on the two companies I published through.  Things are improving, because I am constantly doing.

All life begins in your mind.  From thought, to word, to action, is life.  But if you just talk a mean mess and never act, you end up with nothing.  In my life, I have met some empty talkers.

Don't be a talker.  Be a Doer.  It doesn't matter what level you reach.  Karma means action.  Your fate is a result of the accumulation of your actions.  Thoughts and words don't even matter.  Do something.

So I will continue in the music direction and be happy.  I have no ambition to use my college degrees.  College is a scam.  You learn by doing.  You cannot digest someone else's experiences and gain skill that way.  What you can see yourself doing, day in and day out, for the rest of your life, is your vocation.  Night time is the right time.  Your evenings and weekends are for blowing your wad and spending your time and money as you please.

But you got to do the work before you get to the pleasure.

Peace.

Square One

I think it is time to go back to judo practice.  I haven't practiced consistently in years, and the past decade has been about me practicing a few times, starting out good, then losing, then despairing, and then quitting.  After a few months of inactivity, I go back to judo and the cycle repeats again.

Judo is not easy to do.  It is not just jacket wrestling.  It involves a whole change of lifestyle not just an hour or two or three per week.  Your whole life has to revolve around judo or you won't succeed.  In your teens, twenties, and thirties, you can work or go to school and train judo in the evenings and weekends.  But as you get past 35, your body slows down, you accumulate injuries, life throws you children and relationships and other obligations, and you just lose interest as you realize it's all been done before.

I am 41 years old.  For today's standards, that is old but not too old.  And I look way younger than my age.  I still look like someone in his prime.  But I am older and slower than most young athletes.

I want to incorporate a judo workout into my lifestyle.  Once or twice per week is good.  I need to start doing conditioning or it won't work.  That includes pushups, stretches, and cardio.  Diet is the main thing in fitness but it is not the only thing.  Just eating chicken and brown rice every night is not a recipe for fitness.  It's not that simple.

As I age, I learn to be less ambitious.  I don't want to work.  I don't want to make more and spend more.  I want to be less ambitious and more fulfilled.  I can do music, judo, home cooking, and date lower socio-economic women and not need a boatload of money.  More money does not mean more happiness.  Jesus called this, 'the Vanity of Riches'.

So one thing I must do is re-incorporate judo into my daily and weekly life.  It is not enough to play guitar, cook your own food, and masturbate to porno every day.  That is not a real life.  Judo is the one thing I gave to society and it is too late to start something new.

Every young man must learn that life is not a free for all or orgy.  You must do service before you get to the fun part.  Business before pleasure.  My job literally is to grapple down policemen and pin them.  You may work at Starbucks.  To each his own.  Judo is not just physical education or Olympic combat sport.  It is a lifestyle.  It is also a theory, that the soft overcome the hard.

So besides music and home cooking, I should learn I must do what I must do.  Judo is the only thing I really succeeded at, and abandoning it in midlife is a mistake.  As long as I have two arms, two legs, and one head, I can play judo.  I can also crosstrain Aikido.  Judo and Aikido go together.  The clinch and weapons grappling.  This is not boxing or wrestling, which is just sparring and competition.  Judo is a competitive martial art with a philosophy and guiding principle.

So I am back to square one.  I did not waste my life.  I had fun, accomplished great things, and met some interesting characters.  I am not even old.  Someone in his early 40s who is still fit is still young.  The point of all this is to start something in youth, do a little bit every day, and never quit on yourself.  Don't just vegitate eating pizza and getting lapdances.  That is not a life.  Do something and be somebody.

Peace.

Make that Money

Watch it burn.

I am learning about the real world.  John Lee Hooker was right.  It is all about women and money.

Money is worldly value.  Money is power.  Women are weak, so they need money.  You can't get women without money.

So the real world is not about ideals, or morals, or religion, or any artificial construct.  We want the love, and women know they are valuable, so we need the money.  It's money and everything else.

Of course, money is worthless and women are evil.  So the world is evil.  A Buddhist monk lives in a monastery and doesn't think much about money and women.  He doesn't enjoy power or pleasure, but pleasure and joy are not the same thing.

Joy has a spiritual component to it, Pleasure is with the body.  Food and Sex is very pleasurable.  Some people like other things.  But food and sex are the two natural appetites of a human being.  If you don't work, you don't eat.

My joy is music but I also need food and sex.  I find both pleasure and joy in everything I do.  Even work I see something I must do.  It is not just for the money.  It is a service to the world.

If I could, I would be a professional musician touring and performing.  But this is not a realistic goal.  I can play, but just not with the intention of making money  I have written over 50 good songs in my life.  I have produced 6 albums.

Graphic Design is a career field.  Copywriting and Design are both aspects of one business, Advertising or what is also called Marketing.  The picture, the title, and the blurb lures in the customer to click and see what you are saying or selling.  It is just a way of luring people in with something attractive.

So I think I have found my niche.  Chinese Medicine was never the right thing for me.  I am not a doctor.  I mastered nutrition, but that just makes me a health education expert not a doctor.  A doctor has to be able to diagnose a patient and intervene.  I am more of a Creative Professional.

So the beat goes on and I continue.  Copywriting and Design is the future of creative work.  The internet changed everything.  It made it easier to make money.  So overall, technology improved the life of many people.  But we are still suffering.  More money cannot make you more happy.  People need spirituality like Kabbalah and Yoga.  This is very modern philosophy.

So I am glad I have both a career and I know spirituality and nutrition.  But music is always the best thing in my life. I will just continue living with less ambition and more drive to do the daily grind.

The Courage

It takes courage to survive this world.  These days, religion is less popular because people feel they can't be religious and have a good time.  But this comes from flawed logic.  They assume that since Christianity was the prevailing religion of Europe and they assume that white people are the master race, that if Christianity is dying all religion is dying.  But this is not an accurate use of logic.

There are other religions, systems, and worldviews out there.  I myself am not a practicing religious person but realize that religion civilized humanity and was the driving force behind law and ethics.  It started with Abraham the first Jew who was monotheistic, nonviolent, and monogamous when a time when men were lawless barbarians.  Then Jesus came a long and reworked the Hebrew tradition in his own way.

But there is also the religion of the east, of India, a nation that spawned Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.  All three religions are valid, real, and worthy of study.  Hinduism became popular in South Asia, Buddhism spread to East Asia, and Jainism stayed small because of its unrealistic nature.

Buddhism is about monastic discipline and finding enlightenment.  Jainism is about nonviolence, veganism, and avoiding doing all evil.  But Hinduism seems to have the most potential.  Yoga is the mystical aspect of Hinduism and Hatha Yoga is just one aspect of it.

In India, education if the youth is very important.  Children should be educated in diet, wrestling, hatha yoga, and sex education.  As you progress, you should learn a skill and take 20 years to master it.  If you start judo at the age of 8, by the time you are 28 you will be a World Champion.  It takes 20 years of daily practice to master anything.  I am just using judo as an example.

As you go through young adulthood, middle age, and old age, you should work and play and love in harmony.  By the time you are really elderly, you should leave the world of men and retire to nature to find God.  To die with contentment is victory.

So it takes courage to live, and you don't actually have to knock anybody out.  That doesn't make you courageous.  A good man is instructed by his father, teachers, and rabbi or priest and does the right thing because he must do it.  This is one of the essential teachings of Hinduism, duty.  That life is not a free for all or orgy, that you must do service before you get to the fun part.

Real courage is about doing the right thing with enthusiasm and getting the right result.  The main holy book of the Hindus is called, 'The Baghavad Gita' and summarizes all Hindu philosophy in one book of 18 chapters.  Chapter 7 is a summary of the summary.  In it, a Charioteer instructs and Archer on the nature of duty, success, the meaning of life, a man's role in society, vice, virtue, courage, and excellence.  It is one book that summarizes a thousand books.

So instead of debating on Evolution vs Christianity, or going to the next Tinder date, or watching MMA at the local bar, I suggest picking up a copy of this book and reading it for yourself.  Even if you understand one line from this book, it will enrich your life and help you live better.

Hinduism and Yoga is not about morality.  It is not about worship.  It is about lived religion, about living a good life and dying a good death.  It has tremendous potential.

Back in the Saddle Again

Last night I resumed judo practice and it was a great workout.  My dream is coming to fruition, and this is only the beginning.

Judo is physical education.  It has some use for self defense, but the point is to empower you to do something in the world.  It is not to choke the man out.

Judo is comprised of throw, pin, choke, and armlock.  In the 1970's, it used to be called, 'grappler's self defense'.  It is a playfight, a fight without strikes and weapons.  It is very useful as physical education because it is not damaging to the human frame.  It is in that way similar to collegiate wrestling, which could also be used as physical education.

I realize music is not that lucrative for a guy like me.  But you must diversify in this economy.  I want to do judo, music, and nutrition, and keep educating the youth.  The youth are the future, they are pure and innocent and less corrupt because they don't need to worry about money.  Money is the root of all evil.

I know boxing, grappling, and MMA have merit in self defense.  But judo has a rich combination of benefits.  It is team combat, self defense, physical education, a good workout, a social event, a moral pedagogy for the youth, and a way to attain enlightenment.  It is not just jacket wrestling.

So I realize college is a scam and my scholastic education did not help me at all.  You learn by doing.  I learned music, judo, and cooking by doing.  Do your hobbies long enough, and they become your profession.  Don't impregnate your high school girlfriend and be stuck raising children while you are still a child yourself.  Lust is not worth it.  Dayjobs are boring and I want to have fun for a living.  So learn nutrition in youth, take twenty years to master a skill, and find Krishna in the end.

Life is good.

Less is More

I will try not to be too philosophical in this post.  But Less is More.  More is not More.  You just need the bare minimum, and then stop.  In doing so, you avoid all harm.

King Solomon astutely pointed out in the bible that anything beyond the bare minimum goes to someone else.  You don't want to serve somebody else, do you?  So just do the bare minimum that is required of you and enjoy your free time for yourself.

Less is More.

Even in my music, I see this is true.  Most of my songs are based on the three chord structure of the blues.  But I try to push past three simple major chords and play a couple of extra chords too.  It gives the song more character, more complexity, and makes it uniquely yours.  Most of my songs have 5 chords in them.

The East Asians developed a high culture because they had to.  They are physically the smallest, weakest people, so they had to learn efficiency to survive.  Less is More.  A small frail woman who knows Judo or Jiu-jitsu can beat a large, strong, heavy man in a fight.  It is by using your small amount of resources in a big way that gets you maximum results.

I like music, judo, and cooking.  I learned by doing, not by passively absorbing someone else's knowledge.  I am not a boxer and I am not a pornstar.  That is just showbusiness.  I dwell in reality, and let all illusions go.

So whether I am playing guitar, grappling, cooking, or even writing a blog or book, I use efficiency.  I apply my set of talents in the most efficient way possible, to get the biggest result.  You can get a lot accomplished if you understand philosophical principles of action.  Philosophy is not a waste of time.  It is using your mind to solve your problems.

I'ts Just Money

Money is not the real power.  Knowledge is the real power.  If you are educated, you can live a good life regardless of whether you are rich or poor.  More money won't make you more happy.

Yes, you need the bare minimum of food, shelter, and clothing.  You might also need communications, transportation, and entertainment.  But it's not that hard to make a living.  Just do what you must do to get the bare minimum and then stop working.  You can't take it with you when you go.

America is ten times richer than any other nation, but is not ten times better off.  Most people don't know the first thing about nutrtition, longevity, exercise, or spiritual attainment.  Their values are distorted, and they have no real joy.  So although I am poor, living on an austere budget, I am better.

I wish I could help America, but it seems nobody wants my instruction.  At least playing the guitar is fun.  Through music, I can be a teacher and healer and guide the others.  I could write some clever song lyrics about these concepts, but I am not going to tell you to eat pork and beans in a song.  That would be silly.

So as time moves on, I will dedicate more time to judo and music and less to trying to be rich and successful.  It is only by doing what you love with enthusiasm that you get the extra results and become rich and successful.  So once again, my philosophy is right.  Don't do it for the money, do it for the love, and the money will be a side benefit.  I don't do anything for money.

I know I should be practicing judo because it is not something you retire from.  Yes, at 35 you are too old and slow for Olympic competition, but Olympic Judo is not the only aspect of judo there is.  There is club randori, local tournaments, conditioning, the atemi waza, the Goshin Budo Jitsu, kata, etc...

Judo is a complete system of physical and moral training.  It is not just Olympic sport, physical education, or a police officer taking you down with Osoto and pinning you knee on stomach.

I want to do my hobbies til I'm done.  Now that I'm older, music is more fun than judo, but I shouldn't abandon either.  I don't do it for the money.  What's money?

Basic Human Civility

I don't see capitalism as basic human civility.  Capitalism doesn't work, and it makes you more a slave than communism does.  Neither Capitalism nor Communism really work, and the whole history of the twentieth century where two hard, strong imperialistic forces, USA and Russia, pitted against each other over political idealogies invented by secular Jews.

Don't blame the Jews.  There is a big difference between secular Jews and religious Jews.  Karl Marx was a Russian Jew who dreamed of Utopia where people were all equally poor, the government had no special power, and people got everything from the state.   But that is not realistic.  In any society, the hard, shrewd, cunning men will predate on the weaker minded, more simple and humble men.  It is just like jail or prison.  In a free for all, weak men don't survive.

Capitalism is equally wrong.  Capitalism lasted longer because it appeals to lowest common denominator, to man's greed and self interest.  But Capitalism ruined everything and America is the laughing stock of Europe, Israel, and Asia.  Life in society is not about survival of the fittest.  It is not a fair society to begin with.  If you are born to upright parents who are wealthy and educated, then most likely you will end up wealthy and educated.  Rich parents can send rich children to rich schools which gets them rich jobs.

If you have the misfortune of being born poor, you will most likely not go to college, get in a lot of fistfights in school, impregnate your high school girlfriend, and get mixed up in drugs.  The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.  Whether you are born rich or poor is a matter of luck and fortune not the strength of your genome.  Americans generally don't believe in reincarnation, brahmanism, nor a caste system.  Hinduism is not the true religion.

Europe is Socialist and that is basic human civility.  The theory of socialism is very simple.  If you want the bare minimum for free, we will give it to you, but if you want more than the bare minimum, then you must work for it, and we will tax everything you make.  There are millionares in Europe who make 2 million dollars per year but pay 50% of their income as tax.  So they are still millionares even though they are paying half their salary as tax.  And since medicine and education is on the government, they don't really have many expenses.  Britain, France, and Germany is the real leader of the free world and the USA is a joke.  The Russians are extremely hard, militaristic people who despise the Jews and aren't ashamed of it.  The Russians and the Americans are very similar people.

Both are hard, militaristic, into business and warfare, but they do it differently.  The Russians are more blatant and straightforward, the Americans are more sneaky.  Everything in America is a business, and you can buy anything you want.  You can buy sex, food, medicine, education, freedom, dignity, safety, fame, you name it.

I do not want to live in the USA or in Russia.  The only reason they became super powers is because they are hard military men who fight for resources.  Both the American midwest and the Ukraine is fertile land that produces a lot of grain and other natural resources.  The best commodities are oil, silver, gold, pork bellies, oranges, etc...

I wish I could move to Israel and live in peace.  Israel is the safe place for the Jews, and Jews know what it is like to be an outcast.  They are more tolerant towards blacks, gypsies, homosexuals, transgenders, and every other type of oppressed minority.   They've learned their lesson from the holocaust.  Pride is the worst sin, and Aryan supremacy is just a myth.

Judaism is obviously the best religion.  It is about strict monotheism and the concept of divine justice.  God created the world, but the devil rules the world until he is defeated on judgement day.  So we must endure until the end.  Suffering is grace, and being an outcast of an evil society is actually a blessing in disguise.  The best people are poor, humble, and simple.  I've met my share of poor, humble, and simple people.  I'm a good Jew.

So Capitalism is not even basic human civility, and Americans don't practice real Christianity.  Real Christianity is about a certain group of Jews who believed Jesus was the Messiah who could ressurect the dead.  But this is a misinterpretation of the scriptures.  Every Jew secretly believes in an immortal soul and reincarnation, just like a pagan druid or a pagan Egyptian does.  The only difference is monotheism and polytheism.  One God or Many Gods.  So you can be a good pagan or a good Jew and reach the same end.  But I have still not found a real Christian.  Someone who practices what they preach.  Nobody is perfect, everyone sins, lust is incessant, and everyone dies.  And since your soul will outlive your body, we don't need a physical resurrection.  That is just mythology.

Basic Human Civility means medicine and education for all paid for by the state.  If you can't work, you deserve a basic income from the government and live on a low budget.  You do not owe the government anything, they owe you.  As a citizen of your country, you are valuable and important and have certain inalienable rights.  Obviously, with free education, anyone with some kind of talent can get a certificate, BA, or something similar and get paying work in something they are interested in.  If medicine doesn't cost you anything, then doctors don't get rich and don't prescribe unnecessary surgeries and treatments just to get rich.  Doctors in Israel are poor but hard working and altruistic.

I know my life will improve once I get back to Israel. One man's trash is another man's treasure.  In America, I am trash, but in Israel, I am treasure.  And ultimately, Israel is the holy land and America is the Whore of Babylon.  People start in student loan debt, live paycheck to paycheck, and die in medical debt.  All the while, they eat low quality food that makes them ill and watch too much porno.  The American lifestyle is exhausting and is all based on imitating Hollywood.

Basic Human Civility means justice.  It means giving to those who have to little and taking from those who have too much.  Americans seem to do the oppposite.  To think, if I am richer, it is because my genome is more preferential and I am a real survivor.  But business is warfare and based on deception not on being objectively better.  Greco Roman Wrestling is about being objectively better, you throw and pin the weaker man and assert dominance.  White society is nothing like Greco Roman Wrestling.  It is more like a shanking in the prison cafeteria.  It has nothing to do with being fair, honest, straightforward, or better.

So I will live quietly in America til it's time to move back to Israel.  All in all, I wasted my youth, young adulthood, twenties, thirties, and only at the age of 39 did I discover writing and publishing music.  The past two years have been a ball.  The creativity unleashes something latent within you.  My music marketing guru was a retarded man with a speech impediment.  I don't look down on him, he helped me.  But I learned that even below average people can have the courage and mental toughness to apply themselves and see where it gets them.  I am above average in talent, if I apply myself, I could be a celebrity.  So my life began in zen and ended in music.  It was not a waste, and I am glad I was born and never quit.  It is only once you consider yourself defeated that you are defeated.

The real secret to success is to do a little bit every day and never quit on yourself.  Basic Human Civility means giving to those who have too little.  I want to give my music to the world and also write books on Taoist Nutrition so people won't be used by the system in America.  I have 5 albums and 2 books right now online.  I want to heal the people, and I do it through entertainment and through education.  That is the best, when you can entertain and educate at the same time.

I think I'm onto something.

What are You Doing?

What are you doing, right here and now, to be happy?  This is what any Buddhist master should ask you.  Don't live your whole life postponing happiness until some later time.  The money will not make you happy.  Neither will the material goods, which I call Stuff.

I live for the present moment and nothing else.  I make love all day long, but I keep my pants on.  Making love is not having sex.  Sex is a biological act.

Nowadays, I enjoy music, judo, cooking writing, self care and chores, and dating.  I prefer the senioritas.

I budget myself on my low income and I hustle on the side with music and copywriting and cab rides.  I am poor and honest.

If you were really smart, you'd invest some time every day in meditation and yoga.  You'd also learn a thing or two about nutrition.  This is common sense for people who don't want to be miserable.

I could write volumes on wholistic health.  But I am sneaky.  I won't give it away for free.  One of my ambition is to write a self illustrated book this year on health, nutrition, fitness, and yoga for young people.  Confucious once said, 'If planting for a hundred years, educate the youth.'

I want to educate the youth.  I won't make killing in the private sector, and I am not a gay loser so I won't be a priest.  I have talent and I can apply it somehow.  I have the means, I just don't know how to use it.

One thing I must do is grapple again.  And I must play my guitar outside the home, not just for myself or for recordings.  It is by applying yourself in the outer world that you get results.  Don't stay at home all day.  You'll accomplish nothing that way.

Right now, I have 5 albums online, and 2 books.  All the albums feature original rhythm and blues music, and the books are about nutrition and wholistic health.  So I consider myself succesful, influential, and talented, but not rich.  The money is not the important part.

I do stuff all day long to be happy, and even when I must do something unpleasant, like clean the kitchen, take out the garbage, or brush my teeth, I do it with zeal and enthusiasm.  It is called 'Service with a Smile.'

I encourage you to do the right thing with enthusiasm.  It is the only way to get the right result.

Avalokita's Vow

In the East, there is a diety called Avalokita, or the Boddhisattva of Compassion.  He is similar to the Angel of Mercy in the JudeoChristian tradition.  The patron saint of medicine.

The reverence for Avalokita began in India, but spread to China and Japan.  In China, they feminized him into Kuan Yin, the lady of mercy, and in Japan they call him Fugen Bosatsu, the boddhisattva.  He is said to be the most wise and know the motive of every action.

Eastern culture and the culture of the native Americans is not that different.  Native Americans are primitive Asians, so had their culture continued, they might just be like the Chinese or Japanese are today.  Shamanic culture, where the doctor is also the priest and politician.  No seperation between church, state, and medicine.  What a wonderful world this would be.

In the USA today, a priest, a doctor, and a politician are three things.  A priest is a gay loser who can't make it in the private sector, a doctor is someone who finished ten years of school and wants to rip you off, and a politician is an ungodly man who wields power over you.  This is not the way it should be.  This is not Christianity or lovingkindness.

The Mexicans had the high culture of the Aboriginal Americans.  They cultivated corn, which allowed for their civilization to flourish and develop technology.  They had some of the technology we have today thousands of years before the Europeans invented it.

So worshiping the medicine man or elevating healing to a spiritual vocation makes a lot of sense.  The myth of Avalokita is that he is born from time to time in certain eras to bring a healing to the people, and to restore rectitude in the world.  He is not a madman, he is an inspired man.

So Shamanic culture and Buddhist culture is not that far apart.  Both understand we are all suffering and need medicine.  This world is not fair, it hurts just to be alive.  I play the blues because the blues is the music of real life.

So if I can't be a TCM practitioner, I can play blues music and bring a healing to the people.  Rhythm and Blues World Service.

The western man doesn't see past the physical results, he is results driven.  But the result of life is death, so he is hurtling towards his own death.  This is pointless.  I live for enjoying the present moment, whatever situation I'm in.  I make love all day long, but not necessarily with my genitals.

My music if the best thing I have now, and it makes me happy.  I have five albums on Spotify and Amazon, and 2 books on Amazon.  If I was smart, I'd learn more about digital marketing and reaching a bigger, international audience.  My music is about tragedy and my writing is about nutrition and how not to get used by an evil system.  You'd think I am relevant.

So I find inspiration in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainsim, the religions of India, and continue creating.  I am a 24 hour volunteer.  Automatic, for the people.  I will continue doing what I want to do and not worry about the money.

Life is not about money, it's about food and family.  Working every day, coming home, eating dinner, and spending your evenings and weekends as you please.  I want peace.  But America doesn't want to give me peace.  So I am prepared for war.

Comparison and Contrast

Jeet Kune Do, the form of kung fu created by Bruce Lee, is not something new.  MMA is not something new either.  Jeet Kune Do is an attempt to modernize Wing Chun, and MMA is a modern version of an ancient combat sport called Pankration.

Jeet Kune Do at it's heart is sparring, trapping, and weapons.  Hitting with the hands, the clinch, and weapons tactics.  That is reality self defense.  Bruce Lee saw boxing as superior to eastern martial arts like karate and judo and wanted to create a more realistic system that cuts through the crap.

MMA is all-in-wrestling.  It is not a combination of Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.  It is wrestling with strikes and submissions.  Freestyle wrestling is the most dominant background in MMA.  Not Karate, boxing, judo, or jujutsu.  Modern MMA is more about striking in every range and with every weapon, so it truly is about Jeet Kune Do principles.

Bruce Lee was not just an actor, and the moves he used in the movies was crap.  That's show business.  He knew the difference between what sells movie tickets and what works in a real streetfight.  Every Chinese man does something different in his personal life and his public life, and every Chinese man has a secret yet deep admiration for the pugilist.

You have a right to defend yourself, you don't have a right to start with anyone.  Self defense is a certain inalienable right, combat (meaning stealth and weapons) is garbage for criminals.  If someone physically confronts you, you can knock them out, knock them down, or just walk away.  Verbal Judo is the best self defense there is.  Israelis can protest themselves with their sense of humor.

So boxing is a great sport and a great beginning.  It teaches you how to use the jab to establish range, to stay on your feet at all costs, to break out of clinches or get into clinches, and to use footwork to create distance.  It is fight science.  Boxing is better than wrestling or judo.  But all combat sports have some validity to it, it is a fair contest to see who is better.  Kids want to prove who is better, grown men want to rob you and steal your stuff.

The riddle is, life is not fair and there is no justice.  Boxing is ultra competitive, ultra violent, and ultra physical.  Wing Chun is a great martial art of Chinese origin that teaches you to punch, block, trap, and counter punch.  Aikido is weapons grappling.  It is soft power, a martial art that requires no speed or power, only timing and reflexes.  A crippled or slow man can do Aikido and defend himself.  So Aikido is the ultimate moral teaching, the soft overcome the hard.

Aikido is a moral lesson, a method of self defense, a physical exercise, and even part of Japan's irreverent yet spiritual culture.  You have a right to defend yourself, but don't be an asshole.

So there is more to self defense than just punching people in the face, and MMA is just a TV show for angry young men.  I've learned reality and now I am here to tell you about it.  The real lesson of martial arts training is not self defense but morality.  You have to be the better man to win a fair contest.  Through stealth and guile, a loser can beat a wrestling champion.  There is no justice in this world.  Life is not fair.

So through comparison and contrast, I have learned the meaning of life and the meaning of the martial arts.  It's rigged.  Society is not fair, life is not fair.  Only in martial arts can weak, good people beat strong, rugged, aggressive criminals.  Martial arts is part of Tikkun, of fixing the world.  There is morality in the martial arts, its not just about jumping right in with the right cross in all your anger.

So I have used my martial arts experience to become a better, wiser, more moral person.  That means I am the champion and have learned all there is to learn.  No matter what I do, we are all going to die.  So the devil rules the world.  But at least to die with contentment is victory.

There's No Getting Anywhere

There's nothing to accomplish in life, and we are all equal in suffering.  Before the fall from Grace, Adam and Eve lived in harmony with nature and were immortal.  This was not a mythological story, Judaism is not based on mythology.  It is the best faith, and there are different types of Judaism based on who is practicing.

We are not living perfect lives.  Nobody is perfect.  You start out fresh and young, and grow up and improve constantly until the age of 27 at which you peak, spend a few years at maximum performance, and then begin to wane.  Most men die at the age of 75 or 80.  The happiest time of your life is when you are in your early thirties and start to realize there is more to life than just physicality.

Since we are born to die, nobody can be a master or guru.  Even a zen master means someone who has attained kensho, bears his last body, and will be free when his body dies.  Physical immortality is not a blessing, and Yogic masters are a bit pretentious.

There is no master.  God is greater than mortal man.  But Buddhism completes the Law, and the Buddha was a type of inspired Indo-European prophet who invented a secular mysticism anyone can do and attain happiness in a world of suffering people.

So I am an Israelite, a Buddhist master, and I see the value of Christianity.  It has validity.  Christianity was a way to civilize the barbarians, to bring morality to non moral pagans.  There is no religion greater than Judaism, and Anti Semitism is a kind of mental illness.  There are different kinds of religious and secular Jews in the world.

So calling me Hispanic Jew is not that far off.  But it is a reductionist way of delineating a half truth and not the complete picture.  Nobody cares about you, they care about themselves.  This selfishness is self-defeating but they do it anyway because they are ignorant.  Altruism leads to the more joy than selfishness.

My greatest joy right now is the music, and I like giving it away both for free and at a price.  In one way, Spotify and YouTube is great, because it is free to the consumer and I get paid a few cents from each hundred views or so.  So it is beneficial to you and me.  It is in theory a good work model, but in reality, they are making most of the money and I am getting ripped off.  But I create music for my own expression not for the money.  Making some money is just a side benefit.

The rhythm and blues music I create is the music of tragedy and hardship.  I in my own way suffered immensely and didn't live the life I should have.  So there is sorrow, joy, and hope all rolled into one in my music.  The story of America is the story of slavery, and white overclass and black underclass.  In Latin America, people intermarry freely and everyone is equally poor.  In the USA, there is segregation, even to this day, but it is more subtle.  If you are black, you can't hide it, it's evident.  White people have white skin and black people have black skin.  But if races intermingle, eventually everyone looks brown skin with Asiatic features.  Latinos are rich in  spirit, culture, and beauty.

There is more to America than just white and black.  Latinos do a lot of low end labor because they are strong and energetic and are willing to do it.  The Asians and the Jews come from a culture of education and raising the young to venerate the traditions of the elders.  Native Americans are still there, but they are marginalized.  And Arabs and Indo-Europeans are everywhere.

Life is not the way it should be, it's the opposite.  Suffering is grace, and less is more.  So I sing the blues because I've lived the blues, and I am not where I belong.  You don't have to be African American to sing the blues.

As my music career goes on, I will find people who play my type of guitar music, who listen to my type of guitar music, and where I am celebrated not just tolerated.  I would play at a Jewish synagogue or a Hispanic Church.  Religion is not that important these days.  You don't have to self identify as something.  That is just a label.

My latest album, Trouble On My Way, explores original rhythm and blues songs, an instrumental, a blues cover, and a couple of flamenco songs.  I am pushing the boundaries because I want to grow.  Even if my music is not popular here, it is popular somewhere.  I know I have a following in Mexico, Brazil, the Philippines, Sweden, and other parts of Europe.  Some people stick to the good music and see rhythm and blues as the best music America ever produced.  I sound like I belong in the 60s.

So my life continues without money being an issue.  I am a musician, Aikido expert, home cook, writer, and I am living a simple but enjoyable life.  Both the good and the wise lead quiet lives.  They don't go running around looking for a party.  Bars and nightclubs isn't where the fun is.

If you were smart, you'd learn quick that the most important thing to work on is zen.  Being enlightened, content with nothing, and happy in any situation is the ultimate wealth.  When you realize that you are just mind, body, and spirit, and the food is on loan from the earth, you start to value non tangible things more than tangible things.  And then life is a breeze.

The best thing in life is finding a fulfilling career, fulfilling partner, a few loyal friends, and not neglecting the spiritual aspect of your life.  There's no getting anywhere, and even celebrities must grow old, lose their looks, and die.  So nobody really is that special.  God is greater than mortal man, and God is more real than we are, even though he is non physical.

So there's no getting anywhere and the point of life is to be happy and useful.  So be happy, enjoy your work, your lover, your music, your food, and live out your days in peace.  That's all.

The Birth of Tragedy

In my life, I can do both music and art and not concentrate on money or fame or women.  I don't need results, I need happiness, contentment, productivity, and a sense of accomplishment.

I know I have been doing music for 25 years and art for 4 years or so.  I graduated Art school in mid 2015 and started using Photoshop in 2017 to digitally color my drawings.

I don't need to choose between art and music.  I can do both.  Ultimately, I enjoy music more.  Rhythm and blues is the music of the slaves, and is in touch with the tragedy of life.  Art is more like a hobby to me that supplements what I do as a musician.  But art is a vital hobby, and neglecting it is a big mistake.

I also did shootfighting and judo most of my adult life, and judo leads to the Gendai Budo, which leads to Aikido.  The word 'Aikido' literally means 'the way to harmonize the spirit'.  It is not just wrestling with weapons or pinning people face down.  It is a system of training your mind, body, and spirit in the mastery of the self.  The good Aikido man can win without a fight, and if forced into a physical confrontation, wins without harming anyone.  Fighting against multiple opponents is a myth.  Aikido is weapons grappling the way Judo is the original sport grappling.  In Japan, there is a form of Aikido that uses randori or free-fighting.  It is called Tomiki Aikido.

Tomiki was a Japanese man who trained with Jigoro Kano and had a black belt in judo.  He incorporated some of Kano's training methods into his Aikido teaching and formed a unique variant of Aikido.  Sparring and competition is not real fighting, it is a training method for building timing and reflexes in a martial artist.  Jigoro Kano was a huge innovator when he invented Judo.  It is an eastern combat sport with a live method of winning and losing.  In that way, it is more similar to boxing and wrestling and less similar to kung fu or tai chi.

Aikido is not just self defense, it is a method of training the spirit.  A real human being wants to avoid violence at all costs, and if forced to defend himself, do as little damage to both parties as possible.

So Music, Aikido, and Art are important activities to me.  And I use the word activity because hobby is a word that implies it is just for fun.

Nietzsche wrote a book called, 'The Birth of Tragedy' in which he compares Art and Music.  He equated art with Apollo and music with Dionysus.  Art is about beauty, light, splendor, youth, and innocence, Music is dark, moody, intangible, erotic, emotional, and has to be experienced.  So it is fair to equate art with Apollo the God of Light and music with Dionysus, the dying God of Ritual Madness and Ecstasy.

I like all manners of creative expression, and now that I am older, physical performance is declining.  So I am getting more creative.  I like playing guitar, singing, watching music videos, using Spotify, and even looking at photos of famous musicians.  There is a visual element to music, because human beings are primarily visual.  The musician has to be attractive, photography is a big part of music, albums need cover art, and even music can be learned visually by memorizing chords and scales and then later developing your ear.

So I prefer music over art.  But most of all, I like the lifestyle of a Zen yogi.  You start in health and you end in spirituality.  Nutrition should be the first thing you teach a child, attaining kensho and being free from rebirth is the ultimate goal of life.  Between health and spirituality, you should master something.  A skill is a vocation, and if you take 20 years to master a skill, you can be very successful and famous.  I've done music for over 25 years and grappling for over 22 years.  So my education did not help me, but my hobbies did.

But what really helped me most was what I did first.  I attained kensho, and I attained freedom from rebirth and immortality of the spirit.  You don't have to believe me when you read this, you don't even need to understand this.  Just don't assume I am wrong or crazy.

When I die, I will attain bliss.  That is something better than going to heaven.  But regardless of whether I am alive or dead, I am happy, and this is the most important thing.  In a world of suffering people, I am happy, and this is a huge accomplishment.  So I don't need more money or more women.

Nietzsche was a brilliant mind, and from his work, Psychology was born.  I also draw inspiration from Nietzsche, but look at him as someone who was extremely gifted but also extremely flawed.  He didn't believe in God, angels, morality, reincarnation, enlightenment, or a purpose to life.  That is what Psychology, Medicine, Science, and the West is lacking.  This is a big flaw, so Psychology has a big flaw.  You can't acquire faith.  It can't be bought either.  You are either empowered with faith or you are not.

So say what thou will, Nietzsche had a lot of insight and both art and music is part of a healthy, sane, and fulfilled life.

A Jubilee

Today in the morning, I watched an hour long documentary on rock n roll in the 1950s in the USA.  It was an entertaining and fun video.  In the video, it tracked the origins of rock n roll, its rise and fall over the course of the 1950s, and ended on a joyous note with hope for the future.

In the video, they mention Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many others.  This was the time when the USA was growing exponentially, things were about to improve for the black community, and the economy was booming.  Post War USA was rich and upwardly mobile.

Ultimately, it was Chuck Berry who had the longest career and the most influence in music and pop culture.  And Johnny B. Goode was not his best song, just his most famous song. He invented the thoughtful songwriting, clever guitar play, and the upbeat dance music that would define the pop music of the past half century.  He was an influential man.

My music is doing well and in 2019 I got over 5,000 plays on Spotify between 4 albums.  That is not a lot, but it is the beginning of a music career.  I want to expand my music in 2020 and do one thing and do it well.  I can't be a musician and an artist and a writer all at the same time.  In modern society, you specialize.  So I will choose music over art and writing because it is more fun and more lucrative.

The main thing in work is socializing.  Autists can't succeed in business, that is why we consider autism a disability.  If you have no guile, you won't be a great businessman, soldier, or ladies man.  Warfare, business, and dating is based on deception not on being honest and straightforward.  But I know I am talented and deserve my share of the pie.

Even if art makes me more money in the end, music is my love and I will play guitar every day for the rest of my life.  Jubal the descendant of Cain invented music, that is where the term Jubilee comes from.  A jubilee is a joyous celebration of life and love and is done by offering a song to the Lord.  The Psalms of King David were not just poems, they were songs meant to be accompanied by music.  King David was Asian and was both a fierce warrior and sensitive poet who played the harp.  He was fierce, honest, brave, and loyal to the Creator.  He had a personal relationship with God.

The Beatles were the biggest pop band ever, the first boy band, a commercial hit, and ultimately, they were not that talented.  But they had spunk, enthusiasm, were good looking, charismatic, and irreverant.  Listening to their music or watching their videos made you feel like they were having a party and you were invited.  But it is just marketing.  They don't know who you are and they just want your money.  Real music is closely tied to religion, and Rock n Roll comes from gospel music.

Without Rosetta Tharpe, there'd be no Chuck Berry, Elvis, or the Beatles.

So I try to counter the trend and make my music about spirituality, loneliness, injustice, the hard times, being an outcast, and suffering.  Suffering is grace.  It is by using creativity to transform suffering into joy that you become happy. That is why Nietzsche called his book, 'The Birth of Tragedy.'and contrasts art and music as methods of expression.  Ultimately, music better than art, because you spend more time growing down than growing up.  The first 27 years of your life you are growing up, but until 75, you are only slowly dying.  Music makes dying easy.

So I will look to expand my music business in 2020.  I will not just sell streams and downloads.  I will teach guitar, gig out, play at churches and synagogues for free, and create band art.  I might even monetize my YouTube channel and try to find syncing and licensing opportunities.  There is an possibility of being a full time musician and making 30,000 or 40,000 per year.  But you need to be a marketing guru and be active on social media.  The great thing about the internet is it allows the whole world to be connected, and people in Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines, and Sweden love my music.  In certain parts of the world, rhythm and blues is still popular, and people think of pop, hip hop, and goth music as crap.

The USA is no longer leader of the free world.  This is not the 1950s anymore.  Europe, Asia, and even Israel is doing better.  I know life in Israel is problematic, people are stressed out, live in fear of terrorism and war, work more hours for less pay, and are fiercely competitive.  But at least they get socialist medicine and education, better food, better climate, and thinner women.  Israeli military strategists are extremely clever and Israeli politicians are strong leaders.  If they weren't, World War 3 would erupt and the world be destroyed.  I admire Israel.

So as an unpopular musician on long island, New York, all I can do is apply myself within my means.  My gift is my song, and my song is for God.  I never made it in Acupuncture or graphic design, because book learning doesn't work in a streetfight.  You learn by doing.  I mastered music, judo, cooking, and writing, and ultimately people will pay for entertainment not education.

So I will offer a Jubilee to the Lord and feel alright.

Self Defense without Weapons

The main thing in self defense is punching and pinning.  Wrestling and Judo as done in America is good self defense training.  Collegiate wrestling is a more civilized version of catch wrestling and Kodokan Judo is a more civilized version of jujutsu.

Collegiate wrestling began at the beginning of the twentieth century when American scholastic educators saw the value of self defense for children.  Fair fighting as a sport has value to young men who are fit, aggressive, and competitive.  Self defense is for children.

Kodokan Judo is more than physical education.  It is more than an eastern combat sport or jacket wrestling.  And there is more to it than high amplitude throws.  There is also ground wrestling, or matwork, which is comprised of pin, choke, and armlock.  Collegiate wrestling and matwork is what Americans excel at.  Americans are the best grapplers.

There are other factors in self defense, like punching, kicking, leg submissions, and weapons tactics.  In reality, boxers are better athletes than wrestlers and grapplers.  BJJ is an attempt to hybridize wrestling and judo.  Sambo is also a twentieth century system that attempts to hydridize wrestling and judo.

What I am trying to say is, sport is reality.  A sportive match is not a streetfight, but if you are too dangerous to spar, you are delusional and just talking out of ego and pride.  Athletes are fighters, and you have to be a champion of something to teach self defense.  Boxing, wrestling, judo, sambo, BJJ, are all great sports that teach you self defense, confidence, mental toughness, fitness, a lifestyle of being a winner, and how to recover from loss.  In real sport, there are no undefeated champions.

I know I spent way too much time training Judo and Sambo and not enough training boxing.  There is economic renumeration if you win in boxing, the best judo and sambo players are amateur athletes who become coaches and teachers.  We live in a results driven society not a high minded idealistic society.  The average pro boxer is a millionare, the best judoka or sambist is a poor athletics coach.

So I didn't live right.  I wasted my athletic potential, because I listened to parents who wanted to protect me, had different culutral values because they are a different race than me, and see boxing as low brow entertainment.

There is nothing wrong with boxing.  It is a civilized fight, a fight with gloves on.  Obviously, in self defense, you need to know how to punch in every range not just from a distance.  But boxing is a lifestyle of toughness, pride, fitness, and survival.  Boxing is great.  I wish more people were into the sport where I am from.  It seems boxing is less popular and Muay Thai and MMA is more popular here, because that is what they see on TV.

But ultimately, self defense is for children.  Grown men don't spar and wrestle and grapple to see who is objectively better.  Grown men do combat, which means stealth and weapons.  They fight dirty, they surprise you, they shank you, they shoot you down, etc...  Being better doesn't matter to an evil man.  You could be a world champion wrestler and not know real combat, and you could be a terrible athlete and still know how to kill people without them knowing it.  This is where morality comes in.

What is really better, being a tough, fit, handsome athletics champion, or a dirty criminal who is ugly and stupid and despises knowledge?  America is a society of thieves and everyone knows self defense and combat from an early age.  They live to fight, everything in America is based on competition.  If they can't beat you in a fair fight, they will beat you in an unfair fight.  They just want to beat you.

In reality, there is more than enough food and technology and water for everyone on the planet and then some.  But the resources are not distributed fairly.  This is because of politics, economics, and racism.  We don't live in a perfect world.  God does not rule the world, the devil does.  The system of things is ruled by the devil and there is nothing fair in this world.

In a perfect world based on merit, I would be a millionaire musician teaching Combat SAMBO and Aikido to eager students who see me as a Budo master.  Student has become the master.  I started guitar lessons in 1995 and I started shootfighting lessons in 1998.  That is over twenty years each of music and martial arts.  Shootfighting is the original MMA, and combines elements of karate, Muay Thai, Catch Wrestling, and Aikido.  Shootfighting is not well known like SAMBO and BJJ because there is no big marketing push for it, and no one really wants to fight.  Fighting is for children.

So I know where I'm at and know the world is not the way it should be.  Theoretically, I am a handsome entertainer and a budo master.  But now that I am past 40, physically slower and older and injured, I will probably not be a martial arts instructor.  And music is not a high percentage way to make money these days.  There are more musicians and fewer people making money from it.  But I am talented and I enjoy writing my own songs.

So all I can say in my life is I mastered creative expression and physical performance.  Money, power, and popularity are results, and God is not results driven.  American society is results driven and doesn't judge you on how morally good you are.  So America is an abomination to God.

As time moves on and I approach old age and death, I know I did what I could.  I developed myself, reached my full potential, and mastered more than one or two things in life.  Most people are average and master nothing in their life.  When I die, people will mourn for a great musician and a great grappler.  I am a meritorious man.

So in conclusion, self defense is about sport, and the best sport is boxing.  Obviously, a boxing match is not a streetfight.  It is a civilized punching bout.  A boxer needs to crosstrain grappling and weapons techniques to be a complete master of self defense.  But now that I am older, past my prime, I don't like fighting and combat.  I want peace.  I want wine, woman, and song, and the best thing in my life is the music.  Art serves as a fun hobby and an adjunct to my music career.  So as I age, physical performance diminishes in value and creativity rises in value to me.  In my life, I learned my lessons.  Monogamy is the discipline for success, and the meaning of life is to be happy and useful.  If you want to be happy and die with contentment, be content with things, be productive and useful to others, and take a wife and be faithful.  That is all.

Women from Coast to Coast

I've really missed out on a lot.  This essay will be about love and marriage.

Obviously, most people are having more sex than ever, having more relationships than ever, marrying more often, and divorcing more often.  This leaves us with more single mothers, more fatherless boys, and more orphans.

The family unit is the nucleus of society.  Every family needs a father figure, a mother, children, and even peripheral family members like aunts and uncles who can't work outside the home but are still productive and useful.  Not everyone can work a day job, the government owes you basic income if you can't work a part time or full time job.  You are not a freeloader if you can't work.

I also believe a government owes you socialist medicine and education, but that is the topic of a different post.

The main thing in relationships is to have meaningful ones.  Teenagers are lusty and young men want multiple lovers.  But as you age, you learn some things about women.  In some ways they are all the same and have many common characteristics, but in some ways, each one is unique.  Find the one with the right amount of looks, money, character, personality, and humility.  Women want the same thing.  To them, upward mobility is a factor, because women are weaker and need to rely on men for support.  Even a rich powerful female attorney wants to date up not down.  Hypergamy is part of female psychology.  Women want to move up in a relationship not down.  You need looks and money to get a girl, and ultimately, money is more important.  The more money you have, the more they forgive your deficiency of looks.

I am good looking but in the lowest socioeconomic class.  So I must use my looks and knowledge and potential to find a mate.  I don't want a lot of sleazy hookups but I don't want to rush into marriage either.  I want to have several long term relationships until I find the one to settle down with.  At my age, I can't be too picky, time is running out.

There are different characteristics to different types of women.  White women are the most desirable, and they know this, and want a high level of looks and money.  Black women are largely considered the least desirable, and use their wiles to deceive men into staying and know best what it is to suffer.  Latinas are very lusty and fiery but also aren't loyal, because they are so hypersexual.  I don't know much about Native American women, because I've met so few.  But I know about Jewish women and Asian women.

First of all, there is a tremendous correlation between Jews and Asians.  The Jews are an Asiatic race.  I like both Jewish and Asian women, but find Jewish women are more high minded, want long term relationships, and expect more out of the man.  Asian women are loyal, forgiving, humble, and submissive.  I like Asian women the best.

So I will date Asian women and try to get to know one.  I can't be too picky, I am middle aged by now and I missed out on my 20s and 30s.  I am good looking and fit for my age, but there are younger men with more hair and a six pack of abs.  And these girls aint loyal.  I need to get serious about dating and marriage before I waste my entire life.

I know I will die and I don't have much time.  The average man lives 75 years.  Some live 60 some live 100.  But even a 55 or 60 year lifespan is enough if you stay able bodied, eat good food, listen to good music, and have many friends.  It is quality of life not quantity.  If you live 60 years, get sick and are a cripple for 20 years until you die at 80, I don't consider this longevity.  Disability free lifespan is the key issue.  Living fully and not being dependent on anyone is freedom.  I want freedom.  Money is not the only form of value, power, or worth.

So my life is improving as I reach middle age with wisdom and integrity.  I will date many Asian women and find the one I want to settle down with.  I know I have already reached enlightenment and I will attain human completion.  So until it is time for me to die, I will sing my song, do my art, eat my food, and have fun with the ladies.  Life is good.
