I Got The Juice

In Spanish, we use the word Jugo to mean 'the juice'.  The Juice gives you power.  When someone is using steroids, we say 'he is juiced up'.  But I get high on mango and guava nectar.

In the 90s, I began study of music and martial arts.  I like both playing the guitar and rolling half guard.  I started guitar lessons in 1995 and grappling in 1998.  Hobbies are what you do because you want to do it.  If you start between 8 and 15, by the time you are in your late twenties, you will be a young master.

I could easily teach music lessons and Aikido lessons.  But my main career is in graphic design.  But that is something I do for the money.  If there was no money involved, I wouldn't even do it.  But I love the money.

Both music and any kind of combat sport or martial art is based on your innate body type and personality.  The way you play the guitar is an extension of your innate being.  I am strong and slow with energy and agility in the fingers.  So I play melodic rhythm on an acoustic guitar.  And I have a speech impediment so I must write simpler lyrics that say more with less.  John Lee Hooker was below average everything, and yet he was determined to make something of himself.  And he did.

In combat sports and martial arts, it is the same principle.  Kickboxing is for people who are strong and fast and aggressive.  Judo is for people who are strong and slow and have endurance and know a bunch of funky techniques.  Grappling and MMA is not my style.  There is also traditional stuff like Karate and Aikido.

So I do not believe you can teach one size fits all.  You must analyze what the student is like, what is style is, and what is appropriate to him.  One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Even in diet, there is on thing appropriate to this man, and one thing appropriate to another.  It is not one size fits all.

So I like music and martial arts because it is big on long island and it is a happening scene.  Kickboxing is very popular, and there are lots of bars in long island and New York City.  I have played guitar at coffeeshops and restaurants.  And it feels good to play a guitar in front of people and pretend I am Chuck Berry on steroids.

So what I am trying to say is, your style is unique and you must express yourself before you are dead in the grave.

Budo

I am starting to think less about self defense and combat.  I want better things in life.  There is a difference between boxing and MMA and karate and all that jazz.  MMA doesn't work, it is a kind of contest.  Nobody kicks from far away and grapples in close.  The foundational skill of pankration is wrestling on the knees and kicking from far away.  But this doesn't work.  The reason why they kick in MMA is because if they commit to the punches the other guy will shoot and tackle them.

The real world is about punching and weapons.  Self Defense is about punching them before they punch you.  Sometimes, they clinch you before you put your hands up, and it ends in a pinning situation.  In self defense, just punch and establish range.  The main thing of boxing is the jab and footwork.

I was deluded about grappling and MMA.  It is garbage.  When I was in these BJJ dojos, I noticed they are all arrogant champions and they don't know sport is not reality.  It is just a training tool.

I am starting to like Karate and Aikido and how they go together.  It is part of Budo, the philosophy of self defense as a religion.  We live so we can fight, reproduce, and eat.  The root chakra governs food, sex, and aggression.  We eat to live, we fight to live, and we reproduce constantly because reproduction is a kind of genetic immortality.  The meaning of life is to keep living.

All martial arts originated with Pelawani and Kung Fu.  The Indians and Chinese are very similar to each other and learn from each other.  Kung Fu is about punching, trapping, and weapons.  Real fighting involves weapons.  The main thing is to punch, clinch, and use melee weapons.  Everyone knows this.

Now that I am reaching maturity, I know self defense is for children.  Aggression is wrong.  Nonviolence is the best self defense.  When you do no harm, no harm is done to you.  The only way to win anything or be a champion is by knowing action-reaction.

I used to think about Aryan Supremacy, Psychology, Nietzsvhe's philosophy and Judo alot.  But this is all poppycock.  No one is superior.  Being a wrestling or judo champion is just kid's stuff.  All the ideas of Europe of the 19th century were based on grandiosity.  Even psychology, which is based on Nietzsche's philosophy is wrong and based on not believing in the immortal soul.  Hitler was arrogant, Nietzsvhe thought he was better than God, Psychology is about weilding power over others, and wrestling and judo is useless.  People laugh at wrestling champions because it doesn't work and it doesn't make you better.  Nobody cares if you are the champion.  And belt rank started in judo as a measure of progress.  In kung fu, there are no belts.

The zen lifestyle is about living a simple life and being quiet.  Food, sex, and aggression is just the begining.  A good man wants peace, eats simply, and moderates sexuality.  And then you go up from there.  Enlightenment means the kundalini awakening.

So I am learning to move on.  I like music and zen and nutrition and my art.  Karate is for kids, and although boxing is fun to watch, it is too exciting and infuriating.  I just want peace and to enter a different state of maturity.

I know I must live a better life.  So I am moving on.

Show and Tell

I think I would take this fine morning to show off one of my artworks.  In recent months, I stopped drawing and sketching new artworks and just began recoloring old line art in new ways.  I need a new scanner.  But until that time, I will make do with what I have.  I see art as being more lucrative than rock n roll music in this cultural mileu.  Nobody listens to rock n roll anymore.  It is a historic genre that died out in the late 1970s.  I guess folks today aint got the same soul.

So here is my artwork of the day.

This is an old artwork I recolored and added new typography to.  Obviously, boxing is a retarded sport for people who want to pugilize each other.  It is a legal, socially sanctioned way for alpha males to express rage and not go to the house of detention.  I find it oddly fascinating and yet I don't like it.

This design is based on a quick sketch I did on a drawing pad, scanned into the computer, and digitally colored in Photoshop.  Since I have not mastered digital rendering techniques yet, there is no cel-shading yet, so the colors are saturated with no sense of light and dark.  So the art is very bright and pure and makes you happy.  It is like an elevated children's art.

I visit the subject of pugilism a lot because it is ridiculous and yet makes me happy.  I know the features of this boxer are distorted, but smart people don't do boxing.  They get jobs.  The colors are simple, the lines are thick and done over with a marker, and the typography is just beginner level.  But I constantly aim to improve my skills.

So I should switch my focus of this blog from crazy political, racial ideas and my theories about combat sports and the history of rock n roll music and get back to promoting my art career.  I have written volumes on this blog and have given away books of ideas.  If I was smart, I would be more sneaky.  But I do not wish to give away my position.  I am incognito.

So look out for more art from me.

The Old Boxing vs MMA Debacle.

These combat sports are just showbusiness.  These guys know they are just athletes entertaining us.  But all men need entertainment at the end of the workday or workweek.  I like these combat sports.

If you notice, even amongst combat sports there is a racial divide.  The blacks and Latinos like boxing and the whites and Chinese like MMA.  But this is indicative of their racial characteristics.  Boxing is a fight with gloves on, MMA is self defense without weapons.  But self defense is for children.   Kids fight on the playground to see who is better.  They are boys, they want to prove they are better and humiliate you.

A real man know how to fight but wants peace.  That is what it means to be a peaceful warrior.  He doesn't go looking for a fight.

Both Boxing and MMA is ridiculous sports entertainment.  I think Boxing takes more skill but MMA is more about aggression and knowledge and integration of styles.  So both are interesting.  The Dominicans in the Bronx laugh at MMA, every MMA guy secretly admires boxing.

So the beat goes on and I continue.

I went from shootfighting to boxing, and then went from judo to sambo.  I have an accurate opinion about sport and self defense.  I am not a green belt working on the brown belt syllabus.  Results mean nothing, I am a budo master.   Boxing is better than judo and the world does not need a more realistic combat sport.

The Ancient Greeks had three sports, boxing, wrestling, and MMA, which they called 'pankration'.  They also had weapons grappling which is not a sport.  Every ancient Greek knew boxing is better than wrestling and pankration is a kind of sports entertainment.  Essentially, MMA and pro wrestling is the same thing and it doesn't work.  The main thing in a fight is punching and trapping and weapons.

So I keep my eye on modern Boxing and MMA but moderate it.  The more I watch, the more angry I become.  This is gross entertainment and is no better than porno.  A cagefighter loves fighting, a pornstar loves fucking.  But this is not real.

What the rise of MMA really means is, our culture is more permissive than ever and we are approaching the end times.  People felt boxing wasn't realistic enough and wrestling is too scholastic.  So we want a vicious beatdown in a cage to entertain ourselves at the bars on the weekends.  We are approaching the end times.

The more liberal a society becomes, the more close to extinction it becomes.  Hold on to morality.  It keeps you alive.

I remember many things from early MMA. It wasn't just fighting, it was educational.  I saw karate blackbelts being dragged along by their hair across the mat by kickboxers.  I saw a kung fu master be beat down, I saw a boxer flat on his back with no gi.  This shit is ridiculous.  Self defense has to do with ego, so people inflate their ego thinking they can fight when the average 15 year old black kid can knock them out at will.

Don't inflate your ego.  Sport is reality.  If you can't spar, you can't fight.  A combat sport is a fight with rules, a streetfight is a fight without rules.  If you never fight with rules, you will never be able to fight without rules.  Sport leads to reality, and 85% of men are terrible athletes.  Most guys flail.

This is ridiculous.  Karate is about zen, it is not about being a tough guy.  A warrior wants peace.  Ueshiba, Kano, Oyama, Funakoshi, etc... were all religious men who wanted abundant peace.  If they were aggressive and bragadocious, they would have died young.  Embodying reality means embodying paradoxes.  A warrior wants peace and a punk is aggressive and confident.  And ultimately, which means in the end, punks rule the world and angry, aggressive warriors are poor living off of welfare.  There is no justice.

So all things end in the judeochristian bible.  Religion is not just the 'opiate of the masses'.  It is consolation for living in a distorted world ruled by the devil.  All that matters is the temple of the spirit.  Money, Women, Fame, Honor, Business, Media, and Politics is the devil's work.  You can have none of it and still live a good life.  But I want a bit of power and pleasure too.

So I don't need to philosophize on combat vs self defense all the time.  When you need it, look up some boxing or MMA stuff.  Or look up your own bizarre fetish on Pornhub.  Porno and MMA is ruining a generation.  The Baby Boomers were about rock n roll and rebellion.  Generation X was about figuring yourself out.  The Millenials can't fight and can't make sweet love to a woman, because they are too dependent on technology.  I see no hope for the human race.

I realize the world is not the way it should be.  But I cannot do anything to save the world.  I can only live for myself and lessen my karmic debt.  So rock on, and stay woke as fuck.

Requiem for a Cruiserweight

When I was young, I had high hopes.  I thought I would be a boxer and pornstar and a rock n roll musician.  But now that I am past 40 years of age, I realize show business is a big cosmic joke.

The media is lying you.  I was taught at SUNY Stonybrook that when you watch something in the media, ask yourself, why are they saying this?  What's their motivation?  What's in it for them?

The media is fake.  Hollywood, MMA, boxing, porno, and the music industry is extremely corrupt.  I still like some blues music, some porno, and some boxing.  But when I see it, I know it is fake, so it cannot affect me inwardly.  Hollywood and MMA is a joke and it insults my intelligence.  The actors these days are more handsome but cannot iterate a word.  They speak like a an autistic boy who ran low on his prescription of Ritalin.

MMA is for ass clowns.  If I jumped into the cage, I might kill a man with those four ounce little shits on.  There is a reason why they wear small gloves.  They possess less punching power.  The best backgrounds for MMA include freestyle wresling and no gi grappling.  But these skills are almost useless in a weapons situation or a surprise attack.  Stealth and Weapons is combat.  Self Defense is for children.  Grow up, man.

Hollywood is a joke.  If you take one bullet in the arm, you fall down crying even if you don't die.  You take one bullet to the chest or head, you are dead in a flash.  So I do not want to see Bruce Willis in an army outfit with fake M-16 in his hand cutting down a thousand enemy soldiers while his black sidekick gets killed in the first scene.  This is obviously fake shit and it insults me.

This post is about the disillusionment of youth.  You must realize that by 18 you are no longer a child and must fend for yourself.  Your parents can literally kick you out at age 18.  When I was 18, I was having a ball, and then when I turned 19, I lost my true love and became a heartbroken fool.  So I have spent over half my life in vain.

But when I discovered art, my whole life turned around.  I read a book about Haitan artists and one of them recanted his story.  He said, that at age 35, he considered his life a failure.  And then he discovered art.  And this turned his life around.

I was in my late 30s early 40s when I discovered art.  I spent the whole second half of 2018 doing line art.  Art is a type of mental health therapy and with it, I reduced my med regimen by over half.  I went from five meds to two meds and reduced the doses.  Most artists are crazy.  Most musicians are sex fiends.  Most poets cannot hold a day job.  Creative people have a lot of sexual energy.

So I see art as my salvation.  I finished TCM school in 2001 and got one patient in my entire career.  I graduated graphic design school in 2015 and the past five years have been great.  Things really took off in 2017 when I got a mentor who encouraged me to put my stuff out there and see what it gets me.  I put my music and books and designs out there and it worked.  I started small and now i am growing.

I want to de-emphasize music and copywriting and focus on more graphic design jobs and more books on nutrition.  You cannot succeed if you are not socially valued.  Show business is about popularity.  It has nothing to do with merit.  The best musicians are not in rock n roll.  The best guys are not in Hollywood.  The best fighers are not in MMA.  Get over fiction and learn to love reality.  Reality means the objective truth.  Ultimately, man does not live in objective reality.  He only perceives the world through his senses and recreates the world in his brain.  So none of us can say this is the real truth.  God is in objective reality, and we are by nature subjective and flawed.  When you know you don't know, then you know.  And when you attack, you create an opening for counter attack.

My training in judo and kickboxing and aikido taught me many moral parables.  In judo, there is only attack and counter attack.  If you stand still, they Osoto you down immediately.  You either attack or counterattack, and counterattack almost always wins.  The best judoka are strong and stable on their fate and have the reflexes of a jungle cat. Judo is a martial art but can be used as physical educaiton because it is healthy, makes you strong, and teaches you principles of success.

So the best experiences in my life were training sambo and San Da, learning art, playing music in public, and moving out of my mother's house.  What I am trying to say is, you develop after birth and death is not the end.  Your spirit existed before your birth and will live on after your death.  The afterlife does not matter and it doesn't matter if Hinduism or Buddhism or Jainism has the more accurate view of the afterlife.

The meaning of life is victory.  Winning is everything.  You must win a date, you must win a friend, you must win a job, you must win a ham sandwhich, you must win an immortal soul, you must win salvation.  Good will win in the end.  So I have no fear.

There is a quote from Taoist philosophy.  'Birth and Death are decreed.  Wealth and Honor rest with God.'  This means, when you are born and when you die is a matter of fate.  Whether you are successful, and honored and rich and married and have kids is up to you.  Your life is up to you, but when you are born and when you die, is not up to you.  So do not lament your birth or fear your death.  That is cowardly.  Do not worry about birth and death, worry about living an honorable life and leaving something to posterity.

I internalized a lot of bullshit in my life, and now I am more wiser.  With this wisdom, I can use it to help others  Before I am dead in the grave, I will do many artworks, write many books, teach many sutdents, and have some fun while I am at it.

So I do not lament my misspent youth.  Everything happens for a reason, and ulitmately everything happens for the good.

Money and Everything Else

This society is obviously perverted.  The only criteria for doing something is, can I afford it?  and can i get away with it?

When you are hated by the world, you are loved by God, and vice versa.  I am hated by the world, but God loves me the most.  I cannot say the same for the President.  But that is not a threat, in this society, you have a freedom of speech and can openly criticize politicians.

It's money and everything else.  In an open market economy, the main desire of government is to control the means of production and divert the flow of currency from those who need it to those who already have too much.  This the opposite of social justice.

Ethnically, I am a biracial latino, but I identify as a Latino Israelite.  Hebrews are people of ethnicities other than Semitic who identify as Hebrews or Israelites.  There are Celts, Jamaicans, Hispanic people, Hamitic Jews, and people in Asia who identify as Israelites.  Although in essence, they are not part of the Semitic race.

It turns out, Jews are the best people, if they keep their observance of their tradition.  A secular Jew can do a lot of harm.  Both Capitalism and Communism were ideas purported by secular Jews in academia in the 19th century Europe.  These ideas were so virulent, they caused two wars, millions upon millions of deaths of innocent soldiers and victims.  Hitler was motivated by anti-semitism and the purity of the white race.

These days, Russia has failed.  America is failing.  And Europe and Israel work together to bring about social justice.  In Germany, people are deeply ashamed that their grandparents joyfully executed innocent Jews.  And Jews were not the only minority persecuted in World War 2.  Blacks, homosexuals, gypsies, Russian soldiers, Christians, mental patients, people born with deformities, anyone considered 'impure' was destroyed.  I purport that America is actually worse than Nazi Germany.  But if you can make the money and pay the taxes, we will leave you alone.

New York and California is where most of the American Jews live.  But it turns that, that is also where the anti-semites are.  People in the midwest are more cool and laid back and know Irish and Spanish and Native American people are lost tribe Isrealites too.  I think the best people in America are the Irish and the Mexicans and how they interact with the minorities.

So one of my goals is to leave my current residence and move to Houston, to live with my other side of my family.  They need my help, and I need a change of local.  I am tired of the liberality and perversion of the east and west coast of America.  When you are more educated, you tend to be mroe rich, and more permissive, and more tolerant, and more lusty, and less traditional.

Even music wise, I think the gospel and country music from the midwest of America is better than the Hip Hop, Pop, and Goth Metal they listen to on the east and west coast.  When I sit in my apartment, people in their cars, listen to this modern pop shit and it irritates me.  Innovation is always bad.  Traditional society lasted so long, and worked so long, that it can't be beat.

So don't innovate.  Stay like your parents, be less ambitious, and more fulfilled.  That is the secret to a happy life.  Boddhidarma, the founder of Chan Buddhism, said, 'boddhisattvas are idle people, they do not go around seeking fortune and fame.'  By nature, spiritual people are lazy and know, the more you do, the more you give away.  So just do the bare minimum and enjoy your free time to yourself.

So no matter where I am, I can live in bliss, and realize money is just a tool.  As long as you budget yourself, per day, per week, and per month, money is not even an issue.  The main thing is to be happy and useful.  I am both happy and useful.

My two great joys that I do every day is play guitar and write.  I have 5 albums on Spotify and YouTube and 2 books on Amazon.  And I just want to create more and more.  The money is not the important part.  Neither is the notoriety.  It is simply to express the inner light, be productive, and leave something to posterity.  When I leave the world of men, many will admire me, for being a handsome, wise, tough athlete who wrote books and produced albums later in life after his athletic career.

So I have already been vindicated, the rest of my life is just a party.  So party on, and keep it real on the streets.

The Great Thing About Aikido

There are a panopoly of styles to choose from when selecting a martial arts school.  Since the advent of MMA, karate has lost popularity.  It went from being the master to being the champion.

But anyone who understands MMA knows it is based on wrestling with elements of Muay Thai and Submission Grappling.  Most succesful MMA guys have freestyle wrestling backgrounds.

But this is kids stuff.  I don't like MMA and the bully beatdowns.  I have been involved in Shootfighting, judo, and Combat Sambo since 1998.  And I am tired of it.  Self Defense is a mythology.  Nobody after high school or college age brawls to see who is better.  Self Defense and kumite is by nature just an exercise.  Don't take yourself so seriously.

When you are 30 or older, but still interested in survival and combat, take up Aikido or Tai Chi.  Anything real has a competitive element to it.  If you are too dangerous to spar, you don't the timing and reflexes of a trained fighter.

There is a kind of Aikido that involves randori or free-fighting.  It is called Tomiki Aikido.  I was fortunate enough to choose a judo school that also teaches karate, jujutsu, and tomiki aikido.  The Japanese martial arts is like a religion not just about being tough or brave.

Now that I am older, I realize violence is wrong.  I learned that young, fell back into depravity, only to return to my original face.  Tomiki Aikido is the best thing for me.

In Tomiki Aikido, there is a randori element to training.  It is the ideal martial art for the police, since it involves trapping, pinning, and defenses against stick, knife, and gun.  Karate is for children, and MMA is for brawlers.  I am not interested in MMA.

Judo was a big part of my life.  It looks cool, it is useful, and it is like wrestlemania.  But now that I am over 40, I would be beat by young guys with less talent.

So the great thing about Aikido is, even a slow, weak, crippled man can do it and learn to survive.  Eastern culture is not about morality or the bible or judgments of right and wrong.  It is simply about nature, and in nature, animals raise their children in hopes they will survive and carry on the genome.

So there is morality in nature, but we don't see it.  Just educating and feeding your children is morality.  Not do this don't do that.  That is hypocrisy.  Every Asian knows, there is no morality in food or sex.  Some eat pork bacon and some don't.  Some are celibate, some are monogamous, and some are polyamorous.  By nature, morality makes you a hypocrite.

So I admire the culture of China and Japan.  It all originated in India, but the Chinese and Indian are radically different people.  I like Indian food because i am more a western man than an eastern man, but I admire aspects of Chinese culture.

So I want to train judo and Aikido again and shut up.  I have talent in matwork and Aikido.  I feel USA Judo is not strong enough because we are amateurs competing against pros.  But the country will grow.

So the thing about Aikido is, you learn to distinguish combat from self defense.  Self Defense or brawling is for kids.  Combat means stealth and weapons, and is useful for survival.  You must survive, all ideas about the afterlife are hogwash.  Live for this life.  Food is good, sex is good, music is good, art is good, etc...

I dig Asian women and see them as the most delicate and refined.  Black girls are the opposite.  They are strong and sexy.  Every black dude secretly admires Bruce Lee, Chinese food, and the massage parlors.  I aint lying.

So I will continue my training in judo and Aikido and be happy with it.

Yesterday Don't Matter

You will find some day, that we cannot know the whole truth.  Man only understands right here and now.  God knows past, present, and future.  So it is right, what is written in the Book of Job.  God is greater than mortal man.

My music is the gospel blues.  I love music more than anything.  I have five albums available right now on YouTube and Spotify.  I try to sound like Chuck Berry, had he never invented rock n roll and stayed a bluesman.  My whole shtick is Chuck Berry playing the blues.

What he did was very clever.  He started performing at the age of 30 which is already old for a musician.  He quickly mastered the basic music theory of rhythm and blues and created a synthesis of Rosetta Tharpe's gospel music and T Bone Walker's jazz blues guitar.  He took this sound and wrote lyrics that appealed to the white mainstream audience.  In the 1950s, technology advanced and children did not have to spend their summers helping their fathers on the family farm.  They had free time and could work day jobs and make money and date and spend their hared earned money on anything they choose.  It's your money.

In this cultural mileu, Chuck Berry devised a strategy to appeal to the white audience who had more money than the black audience.  Rock n Roll is black people's music played to suit white people's tastes.  All the music of the 1950s, was about white and black musicians inspired by gospel music but writing secular songs for a secular audience.  Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Bo Diddley, etc... were all musicians influenced by gospel music but writing about secular subjects like money and women and sex and dating and cars and jobs and parties, etc...

Rock n Roll is by nature not evil music.  It is secular music.  There were good and bad musicians.  It is just music.  You can use it any way you like.  It is just a neutral tool.  What Jimi Hendrix was looking for at the end of his life, was a spiritual blues sound.  He got tired of just singing about love and relationships.  I admire Jimi Hendrix.  He had power and love and soul.  He was a free spirit.  He could fight if he had to, but he just wanted to have fun and have a party.  He had many lovers in his life.  But he died at the age of 27 choking on his own vomit.  Because rockstars live bad lives and die young.

I aim to continue Jimi's quest.  But I am not a secular person.  I am not religious either.  I don't self identify as any faith.  Religion divides people.  We are only one human race, and two genders.  Don't pervert reality.  The man gives and the woman receives.  That is the way it should be, nice and easy.

So I consider myself a spiritual blues musician.  My lyrics are neither work and women nor are they about God and Jesus.  I am simply a spiritual man writing about his own experiences and emotions.  I internalize experiences and turn them into songs.  Some of my best songs are about relationships I had that didn't work out.

So ultimately, it is better to be secular than religious.  If you love and date and experience women, you enjoy lust and love and you experience breaks up and misery and heartaches.  But in the end, you gain wisdom and emotional intelligence.  So do it wrong or do it right, you win in the end.  I don't regret any experience I have had with women.  It's all good.  Like Shakespeare said, it is better to have loved and lost, then never to had loved.

I will continue writing songs, even if music is not my main career.  I would do this for free, any extra money I get from music is icing on the cake.  Money is about survival.  Desire is about doing what you want to do before you are dead.

Yesterday don't matter, because we can't understand a complete reality.  We are limited.  God is not limited.  He has all the power, and the devil's power is illusionary.  Money has no intrinsic value, and women are by nature evil.  They want your time and money not just your looks and charm and a fat cock.

So the real riddle is, the world is almost worthless, and a good Christian is waiting on Judgement Day and the hope of the resurrection.  I write rock n roll songs, but I am not a clever, shady businessman doing it for the money.  Chuck Berry did many immoral, criminal acts in his life.  I like his music, I don't like him.  But he is known to posterity as the man who invented rock n roll.  The whole genre is about a man writing a song on a guitar and hamming it up infront of an audience.  This is kids stuff.  But I don't want to grow up.

But now I realize, yesterday don't matter.  Kids don't listen to rock n roll anymore.  Money is very important in real life.  If you have no money, you don't survive.  I have no fear of not surviving.  I know I will survive.  But if I want a higher quality of life, I need to earn that money and watch it blow up.

So my teaching is that business is not about who is objectively better or more talented.  It is just warfare.  In war, there is no good guys and bad guys.  It is us vs them.  A good warrior understands if you fight fair, you most likely will lose.  If you fight dirty, and outsmart the opponent you might beat someone who is vastly superior to you.  So my message to the readers of this blog is.  Don't be the better man.  Just survive, learn how to play the game, and how to value peace above all things.

A warrior doesn't go looking for a fight.  He does the opposite.  He avoids all violence, and if you corner him and give him no other option to fight, he fights to the death.  That is what the warrior does.

So my life is contrasted between grappling which is a kind martial art and music, which is all about love and peace and women and having a ball.  So I combine the very hard and the very soft.  And now that I am old and broken, I can't fight, so all i can do is work and make money and survive and write songs and sing of the glory of the past.

The MTV Generation

I grew up in the 1990s.  I started high school in 1992 and graduated in 1996.  By the late 90s, I was already a man.  My whole high school experience was colored by watching MTV all evening and weekend long.  I didn't do much extracurricular activities besides swimming and wrestling.  And I wasn't a great athlete.

The thing was, I hated waking up at 6am every morning.  Back then, I was suffering from Crohn's Disease which is a disease of the intestine.  I didn't know back then that all diseases are rooted in disbiosis of the intenstinal flora.  You cure your gut, and you cure your life.  Nutrition is not everything, but is the first thing you must learn to be equipped for life.  There are 40 year olds who don't know nutrition, so they are obese, and stooped, and cant fight, and can't get an erection.  This is a disgrace.  A 40 year old obese man who needs viagra is a loser.  But I digress.

I was sick all my youth.  Crohn's not only affects your gut but your brain too.  So I didn't learn until later how to help myself.  So all I did during my high school career was begrudgingly wake up, fake it during school, come home, sleep from 3pm to 6pm and then watch MTV all weekend long.  This is not a real youth, but it is better than dying.

Back then, MTV did not suck.  There was music, and reality TV shows, and Beavis and Butthead which I thought was genius.  Those where the days.  I loved Beavis and Butthead, because it was so crude and yet so sophisticated in its intellect and criticism of society.  Reality TV shows were also cool.  The Real World set in NYC was great.  I learned some things from watching good looking young people living in an apartment not paying rent and being videotaped all day.  You can learn from fake shit too.  A wise man learns from both wise man and a fool.  The key feature of a wise man, is that he is always learning.  Therefore he is always growing.  The day you stop learning, is the day you die.

But most of all MTV was about music.  Grunge Rock was big in the 1990s.  Nirvana was the biggest hit.  But there was Pearl Jam and SoundGarden and Stone Temple Pilots and some other things like hip hop and pop music.  But I did not like the black kid's sound.  And I think pop music is garbage.  The white kids listen to more sophisticated music because they have more innate intelligence.  All this rock n roll music is directly descended from Chuck Berry.  It started with 3 chord songs and people took the ball and ran with it.  Rock n Roll is America's contribution to society.  And nowadays, it is a dead genre.  That is a pity.

So all my youth, I didn't do extracurricular activities and socialize and date.  I just went home, slept, jerked off, and watched MTV.  Your youth is the foundation of your life.  You waste your youth, and you waste your life.  That is stupid.  Don't grow up too quick.  Get skills, explore hobbies, don't impregnate your high school girlfriend.  You can do handjobs and mutual masturbation and eat pussy.  You do not need coitus that bad.  It's not worth it.  Masturbation is good.  Masturbation is great.  Rock on Condaleeza Rice.  You got soul.

So now that I am 41, I can look back on a misspent youth.  But have the wisdom and desire to teach the youth not to be rebellious punks.  You don't win that way.  You win by doing the opposite.  But I digress.

By 1995, I started playing guitar.  By 1998, I started grappling.  Shootfighting is the original MMA.  Submission comes from Japan, not Brazil or Russia or the USA.  All Japanese martial arts instructors teach judo, karate, jujutsu, aikido, and some have talent in freestyle wrestling.  The best men do Greco.. Upper Body Wrestling takes the most physical strength and dominant genome.  So Greco champs are the kings of the earth.

In my youth, I developed a desire for music videos and I worshiped Olympic grapplers like the Greco Roman Wrestlers and Judokas.  Boxing seemed like punk aggression.  And when MMA came out, I saw it as fake bullshit.  I do not like Boxing and MMA, but I see its gross entertainment value.  It is no better or worse than pornography.  It is all seedy entertainment for a seedy society.

I am not insulting America to put you down.  I am trying to expose your flaws to help rectify yourself.  America has base values.  In an open market economy, it is just a heartless battle for resources that already exist.  The government can give it to us for free, but instead, they make us work at least 40 hours per week just to afford a home and a wife and some children.  So we are all slaves.  Good, Bad, and Indifferent, we are all wage slaves.  My hour is worth more than 15 dollars.  It is worth more than 100 dollars.  What is an hour worth?  On your death bed, you would gladly give a million dollars for one more hour.  But God does not accept currency.  He can't be bought.  He sees no value in money, and despises women.  But your whole shtick is money and women.  So you are wrong, and I have better values.

I wasted my youth.  But it wasn't a complete waste.  Zen, music, wrestling, grappling, swimming, even pornography was fun.  I had fun, and sowed seeds for the future.  Now that all is done, I can only have music now.  So I ended where I started, with music videos.  Every day, I watch Lightnin Hopkins and Chuck Berry and John Lee Hooker videos.  Most of them are in black and white but I don't care.  Sometimes, I explore other things like flamenco and grunge rock and even pop music.  But when I watch Nirvana or Pearl Jam, it reminds of the past.  And I don't like that.

In music, I traced the daughters back to the mother.  Rock n Roll comes from Chuck Berry.  He was the most important innovator of the genre.  Every boy wants to sing and play guitar and write his own songs and perform on stage and be a ham.  That comes from Chuck Berry not Elvis or Buddy Holly.  The Beatles were chinsy pop music for girls to swoon over.  They were the British answer to Elvis.  This is kids stuff.  Real music is the song of the slaves.  Music and Poetry of the oppressed minorites.  I am not black and yet I feel I am a slave too.  So I sing the blues.

So life is just like music.  You end where you started, on the rootnote.  A song begins in one place, goes through a bunch of changes, and resolves to the one.  So all of life is like music.  You come full circle.  I started in music videos and I ended music videos.  So I have nothing to complain about.

All the convolusions and experience of my life taught me lessons.  Even MTV taught me lessons about what not to value.  Pop music is crap.  Reality TV shows are fake.  Beavis and Butthead is crude art and crude humor.  So I have learned to unlearn.  In the end, all I want is zen and morality and music and poetry.  So that is what I am going do.  If I get paid to have fun, then I kill two birds with one stone.

So now, I am working on monetizing my YouTube channel.  I should also learn to sell more articles online.  I can work from home and supplement my income with music and copywriting.  So even now, I am not totally bereft.  Where there is a will there is a way.  Don't give up.

So I am glad I grew up in the final good generation.  We had good music, and although we were rebellious, we still listened to our parents.  I pity this modern generation.  They have nothing going for them.  A full head of hair and sick pack means nothing.  You will be slow and hunchback and bald someday too.  That is if you live to see 40.  Some people don't make that far.  I made it to middle age as as  a morally good man.

I know the prognosis is good.  So I will continue until I am done.  My plans are to keep working online from home.  Essentially I am a musician and author.  I don't need my scholastic educations.  It didn't help me.  College is just a scam.  You learn by doing.

What I have done, I have mastered.  And now that judo is no longer and option, I can do what I can do.  So I will keep doing it.  Se La Vi.

They Don't Make Them Like They Used To

You can observe, if you look with an unbiased eye, that everything in society is degrading.  They don't make them like they used to.  In the span of one generation, which is 20 years, society gets worse not better.

In the 1960s, America was exploding.  Things were better than ever.  The abundance of the 1950s led to the explosion of the 1960s.  And it all centered around rock n roll.  It was originally a black people's music invented by Robert Johnson, made famous by Muddy Waters, and brought to the masses by Chuck Berry.  But in the 1960s, the British musicians took the ball and ran with it.

This was the climax of western civilization.  Even the British bluesmen were not as talented as the musicians they were inspired by.  Jimmy Page was not as talented as Robert Johnson.  Eric Clapton was very good, but wasn't as good as the BB King that inspired him.  Later, Stevie Ray Vaughn was inspired by Albert King and had tremendous technical virtousity.  But white dudes ain't got the same soul.

The main act of the 1960s was the Beatles.  Their talent was extraordinary and they raised the bar for everyone.  At the same time, they made music about being good looking, popular, exuberant, and appealing to the teenage girls who just want to spend their money and dream of pretty boys.  The Beatles were the first boy band.

You can see that the 1960s was the climax of Western Civilization.  Muhammed Ali was the greatest boxing champion of the modern era.  Jack Johnson was the first strong black man to prove Aryan Supremacy is just a myth.  But twenty years later, Mike Tyson became synonymous with boxing.  So in one generation, it went from a heroic champion who could walk the walk and talk the talk, to some sleazy criminal from the Catskills who decided to take up pugilism.  Everything is degrading.

Even in music you can see the same thing.  John Lennon led the Beatles.  He was neither the most good looking nor the most talented, Paul was, but he was the leader because he had the most love.  As the Beatles popularity move on, he became disillusioned with fame and wealth and celebrity.  He went to India to learn Yoga from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.  Every good celebrity gets tired of fame and fortune and realizes the best things in life are free.  George understood yoga better, but John was more a man of action and was inspired to act.  The Beatles broke up in 1970, which is 50 years ago.

John Lennon's solo career was impressive.  Some people don't like it because it was too avant garde, but I think the opposite.  The Beatles music was clever pop music designed to manipulate your emotions.  John' solo career was an expression from within.  He was exploring himself, exploring the world, and making political commentary.  He was the first celebrity who tried to use his fame and wealth for good.  He started a trend.

I like the songs from the 1970s that he wrote.  'Nobody Told Me', 'Watching the Wheels' 'Imagine' 'Instant Karma' and 'Jealous Guy' were great songs.  I don't like chinsy pop music.  I like exploration and innovation.  A good musician pushes the boundaries.

When John Lennon was murdered in 1980, the world lost something.  In the 1990s, grunge rock rose about as an attempt to counter the commercial pop rock of the 1980s.  That stuff was crap.  All the poodle pop musicians of the 1980s weren't interested in music and poetry, they just wanted money and fame and groupies.  Grunge rock was an attempt to save music and save America.  But they failed.  I remember Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam.  I was a teenager during the 1990s, the last great era of music.  I really liked Nirvana, they were genius.  Kurt Cobain was handsome, intelligent, irreverant, talented, and rebellious.  He was the best thing since the Beatles.

But ultimately, musicians are just punks who do drugs and sleep with groupies.  They are not heros.  Most of them live terrible lives.  Kurt Cobain was essentially a depressed man who did drugs, hated himself, and eventually commited suicide.  He left behind a wife, a fatherless child, and music was not the same after him.  It was 1994 when he died.  I discovered the Beatles that year too.  And that is what started it all.

So from Muhammed Ali to Mike Tyson and from John Lennon to Kurt Cobain was a big degredation.  Muhammed Ali was a hero, Mike Tyson is a skillful criminal.  John Lennon was an enormous talent who was murdered, Kurt Cobain was a mentally ill genius who commited suicide.  I see the signs.  Even within my small view of music and martial arts, I can observe the trend.  The JudeoChristian bible is not mythology.  We are in the end times.  I cant imagine what the current generation will do.

They don't make them like they used to.  Now, I am 41 which is considered middle aged.  I don't despise the youth, I just see them as young fools.  I'd like to teach their ass.  But they don't believe me.

In the past 20 years, music is crap, and is all about looks and personality and not about music and poetry.  I only watch videos on YouTube from the 50s and 60s.  Even martial arts is garbage now.  Boxing is all about speed and power and aggression and nobody has a jab or footwork.  That Tyson Fury guy strolls around the ring throwing wild punches, but if he lands its over.  Boxing has degraded, MMA is a vicious cage beatdown.  The times are not improving.  A good man keeps his integrity and realizes the bible is not mythology.  The bible is consolation in an evil world.

But if you understand more than the scriptures, you realize the system of things had a beginning and it will have an end.  But every end is a beginning and every beginning an end.  So I am not afraid.  I know one system will die and a new one will be born.  So I have no fear.

I am getting tired of combat sports because it is all aggression and gets boring.  But music is essential in life.  Music is emotional therapy, and we are all emotionally ill.  Everyone needs music, not everyone needs art or books.  Musicians will never go out of business.

I have 5 albums online.  I also have 2 books.  And I've made money in copywriting and blogging.  I consider myself succcesful even though I am not rich.  I am just making do.  The main thing in real life is work/life balance.  You can't live without working.  If your work is fun and your play is fun and your sleep is fun, then your whole life is fun.  And I just want to have fun.

So I observe society degrading but I don't interact.  I don't like society.  I spend most of my time alone.  But I am happy as a loon.  I do not want to postpone judgement day, I want to make it come sooner.  The sooner I die and the system dies, the sooner there will be Paradise again.  And that is what I want, Paradise.

Get Tough

Judo empowers you to win.  There are other more effective martial arts out there to do, like Karate and Submission Grappling.  But there is something special about Judo.  It is not just physical education.

I endured many things in my life.  I could have imploded and destroyed myself.  I could have just given up.  But because I know I am right and I was meant to be vindicated in the end, I never gave up on myself.

Judo is not just an Olympic Sport or Jacket wrestling.  It is a comprehensive system with a lot to it.  There is more to it than Sport Judo.  Besides contest Judo, there is kata, randori, lecture, discussion, the atemi waza which is similar to Karate and the Goshin Budo Jitsu which is similar to Aikido.  Americans tend to think in results driven fashion.  Judo is jacket wrestling and that's it.  But compared to Taoist philosophers, they have simple minds.

It is not just physical education.  It is a system where you start with child's play and you build up.  MMA is a realistic contest where you see what works and what doesn't.  A philosopher wouldn't do too well in a cage brawl.  Philosophy is useless.  The Gracies invented a great martial art and introduced the world to what works in a real brawl.  But the Gracies don't own the game anymore.

A real Jujutsu master starts with randori, or wrestling on the feet, and builds up from there.  He doesn't start with just kickboxing or just grappling.  If you are overspecialized in one thing, you are not complete, and you fail.  The foundation of MMA is wrestling, sport wrestling works without a gi, jacket wrestling works with a gi.  I read one guy on the internet who said, 'wrestling is to MMA what Judo is to the street'.  It is not the end knowledge, it is the beginning point.  You start in wrestling, you add strikes and submissions, and then you add weapons and then you really know jujutsu.  It is not just about jumping right in.

There is wholistic medicine and there is wholistic martial art.  There is wholistic everything.  When you see one thing and one thing only you are stupid.  When you understand that what exists now depends on a rich complex of factors that began in the past, you become mature.  This present moment is not all there is, but it is all humans can understand.

Now that TCM and Judo are no longer options, I have to get even more tough and move on.  I have career potential in graphic design, and my music is growing.  In my life, I mastered TCM, Judo, Graphic Design, and Music.  Some paid off big and some didn't pay off at all.  It turns out, the money is in Graphic Design, but the fun is in my hobbies.  Just call me the hobbyist.

So I got tough.  If I wasn't tough, I wouldn't be here being a keyboard warrior.  I wouldn't have fingers to manipulate the keyboard.  Lots of innocent people are victimized by the system in the USA, but very few are the one in a million who survive to tell the tale.  I am that one champion who won the game.  So I am the Cassius Clay of mental patients.

In Judo, we say 'Gambare!' which means 'get tough'.  In every aspect of life, you must get tough.  TCM empowered me with a worldview and a philosophy to guide all of life.  With it, I mastered many things.  And my life keeps improving.  I can say the best experience of my life where training Sambo, discovering art, playing music infront of people, and leaving my mother's home.  So the past 10 or 15 years where better than my youth.  I didn't enjoy my youth.  But now as a middle aged man, I am better off than ever.  The best is yet to come.

So in this essay I described how Judo and my education helped me survive.  I got tough.  I am not saying I can get in the octagon and take on Fedor.  I am not stupid.  But I am saying I am tough, experienced, I believe in myself, and I have won more than I have lost.  So in the end, I am a winner, and most people never reach what I have reached.

It is easy to write on a keyboard about martial arts.  In reality, there is no way to win.  The more I write, the more good people like me and bad people hate me.  But I wouldn't want it any other way.  I want good people to like me and bad people to bark up.  If you bark, I know you are wrong.  The good people just smile and acknowledge me.  The gospel, or good news, is, good will win in the end.  Evil appears fast and strong but it doesn't win.  Maybe some initial victories, but in the end, all the good, weak, slow, poor, downtrodden people will win in the end.  So get tough, and don't quit.

King Of All Sports

Obviously, combat sports are for kids.  Nobody fights fair after high school or college age in a parking lot brawl to see who is better.  Nobody cares who is objectively better.  This society is about women and money, and if you fight, you either get shot down or arrested and ass-raped in jail.

But I like combat sports and the concept of self defense.  Most of all, I like the Japanese martial arts.  Collectively, they are known as the Gendai Budo, or Budo, which means 'Self Defense'.  It is not meant to make you a tough guy.  Going to a karate or judo dojo doesn't make you hard.  Japanese martial arts is about zen culture, not how to knock a man out or apply the shimewaza.

If you can master yourself, you can master the universe.  A human being is heaven and earth in miniature.  We are all a microcasm within a macrocasm.  In reality, we only have power over what happens within not what happens outside our body.  Be humble.

The thing I got from my 15 years of Judo practice is how to be mentally tough.  In the beginning, you lose all your matches.  But after a while, you start to apply in randori what you learned in the class.  It is by trying, experimenting, and finally learning how it works in sparring that you learn it for yourself.  So all Judo is an individual thing.  My style is not your style.  I know maybe three or four throws, three or four pins, one armbar, and two chokes.  But if I can do it against any opponent in any situation, I know these techniques.  I have internalized them.

So Self Defense is just a myth.  Martial artists are punks.  But I am a good punk.  I know I am not Cassius.  I am not even Mayweather.  I am a takedown expert and I know what I can and cannot do.  Combat sport is fair, you get on the mat and you see who is better.  And ultimately, by 35 you are too old and slow.  The main thing is speed, power, and conditioning, and by 35 you are already starting to age.  So combat sports and self defense is for young people.  Get involved in your teenage years, and don't stop till you retire at 30 or 35.

There are many good things about sport.  Judo is the second biggest sport in the world next to Soccer.  Obviously, people around the world see the value of Judo.  It is not just physical education or team combat for the military.  It has use for rearing strong, competitive youth.  In the USA, Judo is not that established because there is no Pro Judo, so there is no money to be made.  So what is the point of funding full time athletes?  It will never pay off economically.  America is about money and everything else.  But money can't buy me love.

So I am glad I have over 20 years of grappling experience.  Shootfighting is the original MMA.  Judo and Sambo is jacket wrestling.  Boxing is about being tough and not conforming.  I am rich in experience.

Besides martial arts, I have also done music for over 20 years.  I have played guitar for a quarter of a century.  I started right when Kurt Cobain died and the music industry was reeling.  The music of the 0s and teens was garbage.  With the death of grunge rock, music became very commercial and chinsy.  It is more about the appearance and personality of the performer and not how good they are.  There are very few good musicians out there now.

So what I am trying to say is, martial arts and combat sports doesn't make you hard, it makes you mentally tough, and get involved in hobbies and stick with them all your life.  If you don't have 20 years experience, you are not the master.  I am the master.  So bow down bitches.

The Great Sport of Boxing

I shouldn't have been so naive.  Boxing is a great sport.  Some don't consider it a sport at all, some consider it legal self defense, or a fight with gloves on.  Obviously, boxers are punks.  All they want to do is get in the ring and pugilize each other.

But I see it as more than just punching.  It is a lifestyle of not conforming, not caring about success, and not wanting to fit in.  Boxers are rebels.  They tend to be less intelligent people from the lower echelons of society who just want to express their frustration.

There is good and bad in every flock.  I've met boxers who where poets with sensitive hearts and I've met poets who can't fight for shit.  It takes all kinds.  Boxing is a great sport.  I want to get back into being a boxing fan and forget about wrestling, judo, and all the sports.

Less than 5% of the human population can really box.  Of that group, less than 5% make it to the top level.  People like Pacquiao, Alvarez, Mayweather, Ruiz, Joshua, Golovkin, Lomochenko, Wilder, and even that clown Fury are the top of the top of the top.  It is extremely competitive and brutal.  If you are an international name in boxing, you are exceptionally tough and fit.  Wrestlers are high dominance males, boxers are super dominant males.

So besides music and cooking and my judo/aikido practice, I will start watching some boxing on the internet.  It is fun.  It is not so much the anger or aggression I like, but the expression of masculinity and will and the feelings I had that I wasted my athletic potential.  I had a great jab.  I could have been at least a competitive amateur in my youth.  But I decided to take up judo instead.

Judo is physical education.  The point of Judo is to make you mentally tough.  You get used to winning and losing and it prepares you for life.  In life, you win some and you lose some.  If you have a strong spirit, you never get discouraged by loss and you never celebrate when you win.  Judo players are winners.

But boxing is an exaggeration of masculine behavior and it is not as easy as it appears on television.  The average man versus the average boxer might get killed in the ring.  A boxer has to do pushups, run, eat the low carb diet, stretch, do situps, and spar and hit the heavy bag.  Most men can't take a punch.  They have no real ability to fight, no matter what they look like or what they say.  Don't be dissuaded by looks, size, appearance, or words.

I don't regret anything I did in life.  It happened for a reason.  But now that I am middle aged, I can look back on the good and the bad.  Boxing was an important experience in my life.  It is a great sport.  I actually want to use YouTube to look at the top level guys and what they are doing.  There are B+ boxers, there are A boxers, and there are A+ boxers.  And then there is Ali and Tyson, whose names are almost synonymous with the sport.

I found out that the Christian bible is right.  Suffering is grace.  Poor, downtrodden, simple people are better than rich, haughty, powerful, and conceited people.  More than 2/3 of the American populace are not rich.  They are working poor, disabled, on welfare, or retirement benefits.  One third are middle class, upper class, or the 1% who are all evil men.  But even the poor in America are like the rich in other countries.  So count your blessings.  Most Americans biggest dilemma is how to budget themselves.  In places like South America and Africa and Russia, people fight for food.  We have it easy.

So boxing is a metaphor.  Fair is Fair.  In this type of sport, it is all about who is better not who is more sneaky or has more strategy.  If you don't have speed, power, timing, and reflexes, you are not going to make it as a pugilist.  So I see it as a morality play not a fight between to uneducated retards.

I am a fan of boxing and I find full length wrestling, judo, and MMA bouts to be rather boring.  But that is just me.

Square One

I think it is time to go back to judo practice.  I haven't practiced consistently in years, and the past decade has been about me practicing a few times, starting out good, then losing, then despairing, and then quitting.  After a few months of inactivity, I go back to judo and the cycle repeats again.

Judo is not easy to do.  It is not just jacket wrestling.  It involves a whole change of lifestyle not just an hour or two or three per week.  Your whole life has to revolve around judo or you won't succeed.  In your teens, twenties, and thirties, you can work or go to school and train judo in the evenings and weekends.  But as you get past 35, your body slows down, you accumulate injuries, life throws you children and relationships and other obligations, and you just lose interest as you realize it's all been done before.

I am 41 years old.  For today's standards, that is old but not too old.  And I look way younger than my age.  I still look like someone in his prime.  But I am older and slower than most young athletes.

I want to incorporate a judo workout into my lifestyle.  Once or twice per week is good.  I need to start doing conditioning or it won't work.  That includes pushups, stretches, and cardio.  Diet is the main thing in fitness but it is not the only thing.  Just eating chicken and brown rice every night is not a recipe for fitness.  It's not that simple.

As I age, I learn to be less ambitious.  I don't want to work.  I don't want to make more and spend more.  I want to be less ambitious and more fulfilled.  I can do music, judo, home cooking, and date lower socio-economic women and not need a boatload of money.  More money does not mean more happiness.  Jesus called this, 'the Vanity of Riches'.

So one thing I must do is re-incorporate judo into my daily and weekly life.  It is not enough to play guitar, cook your own food, and masturbate to porno every day.  That is not a real life.  Judo is the one thing I gave to society and it is too late to start something new.

Every young man must learn that life is not a free for all or orgy.  You must do service before you get to the fun part.  Business before pleasure.  My job literally is to grapple down policemen and pin them.  You may work at Starbucks.  To each his own.  Judo is not just physical education or Olympic combat sport.  It is a lifestyle.  It is also a theory, that the soft overcome the hard.

So besides music and home cooking, I should learn I must do what I must do.  Judo is the only thing I really succeeded at, and abandoning it in midlife is a mistake.  As long as I have two arms, two legs, and one head, I can play judo.  I can also crosstrain Aikido.  Judo and Aikido go together.  The clinch and weapons grappling.  This is not boxing or wrestling, which is just sparring and competition.  Judo is a competitive martial art with a philosophy and guiding principle.

So I am back to square one.  I did not waste my life.  I had fun, accomplished great things, and met some interesting characters.  I am not even old.  Someone in his early 40s who is still fit is still young.  The point of all this is to start something in youth, do a little bit every day, and never quit on yourself.  Don't just vegitate eating pizza and getting lapdances.  That is not a life.  Do something and be somebody.

Peace.

You Do What You Want To Do

The best career advice I got was from a friend on Facebook.  She posted a meme that had a picture of a girl with a camera and had a caption that read, 'do your hobbies long enough, and they become your profession'.

That about sums it up.  These days, I do music and cooking on a daily basis.  I dedicate one hour every day to cooking, and at least one hour every day to music.  So day by day, my skill increases.  I have been playing guitar for 25 years and cooking for 17 years.

The way to succeed is to do a little bit every day, day in and day out, and never quit on yourself.  The daily grind.  But most people only do what they love here and there and aren't consistent.  Some give up completely.  So they lose.

I do graphic design for the money.  It is my job.  But I really enjoy music and food and other things.  So I do duty and I have fun.  This is a wonderful lifestyle.

In my life, I have met people who have fun jobs.  And the reason they are doing the job they want is because they started early and never stopped.  I know an environmental conservationalist, a vegan chef, a judo instructor, a boxing coach, an art curator, a fashion designer, a kickboxing instructor, so on and so forth.  The thing they all have in common is that they started early and continued for over twenty years.  That means they started in youth on their dream.  Which means educators should expose children to different things between the ages of 8 and 15 so they get a glimpse of what they can become.

I would love to be a teacher of some kind.  In my youth, I went to a Jewish high school and had a great physical education teacher, a great music teacher, a great art teacher, and a great English teacher.  They tried to help.  Teachers are altruistic.  They don't do it just for the money.

In my life, I seperate business and pleasure.  Money ruins everything.  Most people are not professional boxers or pornstars.  Most people are not involved in Hollywood or MMA.  I do the simple office work to get the money so I can have the freedom to do what I want to do.  Money is power, and women are pleasure.

So I continue.  I enjoy my lifestyle.  I do what I must do.  Business before pleasure.  Of course, if I had my way, I would just collect state funds and just vegitate.  But then I would waste my life.  And I don't want to do that.

So the theme of this post is, do what you want to do.  Start young, and never stop.  Life is too short to not to what you want to do.  Do your hobbies long enough, and they become your profession.

Music and Porn

In one case, you turn the volume up, in the other, you turn the volume down.  Nobody wants to hear the moaning.

I use both porno and music on a daily basis.  I see music as a medicine and porno as a drug.  Music heals your emotions, porno is a dose of fantasy in a cruel, harsh world.

I listen to rhythm and blues, delta blues, rock n roll, and pop music.  I like most of all the music of the 1950s and how it led to the music of the 1960s.  This was the climax of western civilization, the height of the American empire, and the beginning of the end.

In porno, I love the moneyshot.  It is not a porno if you don't see the actor ejaculate.  Without the moneyshot, it is just a study of human reproduction.  It's the moneyshot and everything else.

So my life goes on, and I do what I must do to get what I want to get.  Business before pleasure.  I do all kinds of work, get all kinds of paychecks, just to get more music and porn.  That is where the fun is.

I admire boxing but think it is too hardcore.  And Hollywood and MMA is crap.  That is not my kind of entertainment.

When I was young, before 30, I was obsessed with Greco Roman Wrestling and Judo.  The legendary photos of Olympic grapplers excited me.  It is like real life wrestlemania.

But I am not a kid anymore.  So the beat goes on, and I move on.  I do what I must do.  Work is not pleasant, but I do it because it is duty.  When you are done doing what you must do, do you have the energy to do what you want to do?  That is the question you must ask yourself.

Bruce Lee's Whole Shtick

He was a real kung fu master, he was trying to teach you something.

He didn't just make kung fu movies and become known as a handsome Chinese American actor.  He never actually sparred or competed in any combat sport, but that doesn't matter.  What he did was invent a theory, a philosophy, and a method of self realization.

What he did in the movies was Tae Kwon Do.  But that is garbage.  In real life, he invented a martial art called 'Jeet Kune Do' which means 'The Way of the Intercepting Fist'.  It is also called Jun Fan Gong Fu after his actual Chinese name, Jun Fan.  Bruce Lee was the anglicized name a nurse gave him in the hospital he was born in.

What Jeet Kune Do was about was, that boxing has a more realistic training methodology than Karate, Judo, and Kung Fu.  Martial Arts is largely an exercise about zen culture and ethics and not how to knock a man out.  Bruce Lee was about reality self defense, not theories or philosophies.

But he also had morality, and saw things from a wholistic viewpoint like most Chinese people.  Jeet Kune Do is not just punching.  It is not just punching and kicking.  It is a complete karate with an answer for everything.  It involves punching, kicking, trapping, and weapons grappling.  It is a lot like other Chinese martial arts like Wing Chun and Tai Chi.

But one thing he was trying to teach humanity was, that if you are too dangerous to spar, you are delusional and just talking out of pride.  A boxer gets in the ring and he fights.  He doesn't overthink it.  A boxer is conditioned, experienced, spars, competes, wins, loses, and doesn't complain.

But boxing alone is not a streetfight.  It is a fight with gloves on.  Without the gloves and the rules, you can do a lot more.  Bruce Lee once said, 'If Jeet Kune Do was a sport, it would be similar to Muay Thai.'

Muay Thai means Thai Kickboxing.  It is not just punching with gloves on.  It involves kicks, knees, elbows, and clinch wrestling too.  The Thai fighters are extremely conditioned and spar and compete regularly.  Most will live and die poor, but some will be rich celebrities.  Muay Thai is the eastern concept of 'boxing'.

Even punching and muay thai is not a complete system.  A real martial artist can do more than punch and kick.  He also knows how to wrestle standing up and grapple with weapons.  In Chinese, wrestling is called 'Shuai' and weapons grappling is called 'Chin Na'.  A complete martial artist knows all four elements of hand to hand combat, not just one or two.

So whether you are doing  Tai Chi or Chin Na or San Da or Wing Chun or Dragon Boxing, you must have answer for everything or you are not a real martial artist.  There is wholistic martial arts like there is wholistic medicine.  That is the Chinese worldview.  Having a comprehensive view not a partial vew.  The Chinese are not stupid.

So Bruce Lee was a great innovator and his movies were just stupid kung fu flicks.  He invented a new martial art, coached many kickboxers in the USA, married a white woman, had biracial children, and ultimately, he died because a doctor gave him the wrong meds.  What a tragedy.

Bruce Lee had more merit than most actors.  He wasn't just some guy on a movie screen.  He could do what he said.  In my life, I trained Muay Thai and JKD principles in a gym near my house and this empowered my to do sparring and Combat Sambo.  I am not just a judoka and grappler.  Jeet Kune Do principles work in any combat sport you do, as long as it involves striking with gloves on.  That includes boxing, muay thai, Combat Sambo, and MMA.  There are even Jeet Kune Do principles in wrestling and aikido.

So he wasn't a fake.  Even now, over 40 years after his death, people still honor him as a hero.  There are no Bruce Lee jokes, because he wasn't a joke.  He was telling you the truth.

A real master of kung fu can punch, kick, trap, and grapple.  Chinese martial arts don't teach groundfighting because groundfighting is an exercise.  In the end, Chinese martial arts are better than Japanese martial arts.  But China despises the west and Japan loves fooling the west.  They sell us all their crap, like sushi and karate and Sony and Toyota and manga comics.  Japanese are more sneaky, the Chinese just call us barbarians.

So to understand martial arts is to understand zen.  To be a man who can knock a man out, you must understand the nature of reality and morality first.  It is not just about sparring and competing and anger and aggression.  We do east Asian martial arts not African martial arts.  Black people are the most strong and fast and invent the worst martial arts, and Asians are the smallest and weakest and invent the best martial arts.  It is counter-intuitive.  The soft overcome the hard.  If you are soft and weak and slow, then you must learn to survive by being more efficient, having better timing, and understanding human anatomy and psychology.  A small, weak, slow man can still fight if he knows what he is doing.  Only a punk shoots right away or jumps right in with the right cross.

So Bruce Lee invented something of lasting benefit to society.  I think Jeet Kune Do is better than Judo.  Judo is physical education, Jeet Kune Do is self realization through Budo.  Both have potential to help.  Easy going but tough and humble people do judo.  People into what works in a streetfight and how to become the best version of yourself do Jeet Kune Do.  It is so much more than Olympic combat sports or karate and MMA.  Jeet Kune Do is like a religion and a lifestyle.

So I might go back to my old instructor and ask him for guidance.  I don't want to stop training all together.  As a martial artist, you are never done training.  You could be black belt and world champion and still have something to learn.  Martial arts is not a gang, it is a form of exercise with a functional use

So Bruce Lee's whole shtick was self realization through karate.  He was saying boxers actually spar and aren't delusional or overly-confident.  They actually do it while you sit around talking about it.

In my life, I gave up on boxing and switched to takedown sports like Greco and Judo and Sambo.  I am more of a wrestler than a boxer or grappler.  But western people tend to have a limited, partial view of things because they are less intelligent and only believe in tangible results.  There is more to a confrontation than punching and choking.  Some fights end with a takedown or a pin or an armbar.  Some fights involve weapons.  And ultimately, criminals don't fight fair or else they would lose.  Most criminals are weak, slow, have no training, and only want to hurt and destroy you.  So training any martial art or combat sport is about being the better man and not having to prove it.

I started grappling in 1998 and haven't stopped since.  After 22 years of training, I am not a beginner.  Shootfighting led to Judo and Judo led to Sambo.  Sambo was the best experience of my life.  What I am trying to say in this post is, martial arts is about self realization not self defense.  The whole concept of self defense is stupid.  If you beat someone up in a streetfight, you go to jail for doing the right thing, and if you walk away, they assume you are afraid.  So there is no way to win a confrontation.  The only real way to win is not to get into conflict to begin with.  Combat means stealth and weapons, that is a crime.  Self Defense is for children.  If you are too dangerous to spar, you are delusional.  God is Love.  Love conquers all.

I know I am a great martial artist and I will never stop training and teaching.  I don't care if I am not popular in my part of the world, I am popular somewhere else.  The USA seems to be the most distorted, wicked country on earth.  They got rich by deceiving the world and deceiving their own people.  I am not trying to deceive you. I am trying to help you.

So keep training your style and become yourself.

Music and Sport

I am learning to distinguish between reality and fantasy.

My two educations were in Acupuncture and Graphic Design.  A typical acupuncturist in this part of the world makes 100 dollars per hour.  A typical graphic designer makes 15 or 16 per hour.  The difference between a licensed profession and typical office work.

But now, Acupuncture is no longer an option.  I don't even have an active license anymore.  I have a graphic design job, so I am an actively working graphic designer.  It is a good career path.

The main thing in work is trading time for money.  It is a lot like high school and college.  You are rewarded for good behavior, consistency, and conformity.  They want you to do what they say.  It is not that hard to make and spend money.

So Graphic Design is my job.  But what I really love is my hobbies.  I have been doing guitar since 1995 and grappling since 1998.  I spent 5 years doing Shootfighting, 15 years doing judo, and 6 months doing sambo.  I also have boxing experience.  I am a trained combat athlete.  The belt rank and medals mean nothing, it matters that you have sparring experience and the conditioning of a trained fighter.  85% of men can't fight.

So I have a job, two hobbies, and I have enough money to get by.  Now that I have a good paying gig, it will lead to others.  It is called building your resume.  When one job is about to end, start looking for another one.  When you find a near ideal job, then you stay there a few years.  But I just do graphic design for the money, if there was no money involved, I wouldn't do it.

But this it the real world.  Without money, you don't get to enjoy any worldly power or pleasure.  Money is power, women are pleasure.  You need both, unless you are a Buddhist monk in a monastery.  They don't enjoy much power and pleasure.

I have 5 albums on YouTube and Spotify.  I listen to my own music a lot.  I think it is genius.  People don't really listen to rhythm and blues and rock n roll much anymore.  But I sound like what I listen to, and I listen to the old stuff.  I don't like hip hop and heavy metal.  I see the black hip hop music as having more creativity in it, but I am not from the Bronx so it doesn't interest me.

I can also do judo in a diminished capacity since when I was in my twenties.  Since 2008, people don't do doubles and singles anymore.  Without leg attacks, I can't really wrestle. I am a te-guruma expert.

Now that I am older, past 40, I am middle aged and more mature.  I think boxing is better than judo.  I think the music industry is better than Hollywood.  I think porno and MMA is not showbusiness, but a kind of drug you can get addicted to.  I am into reality not fantasy.  Americans have distorted values and the media is too liberal and anti-Christian and anti-Semitic.  Jews are always outcasts wherever they go, which shows how holy they are.

This world is worthless and the whole premise of the Hindu lifestyle is to be in the world but not of it.  As long as we have physical bodies, we are prisoners.  At least while you are alive, you can enjoy what you can enjoy and do the right thing.  Part of life is work.  Doing productivity for others not just yourself.  There is no life without work.  But when you are done with work, then you have the money and time to do what you really want to do.

I like music and sport.  Rhythm and Blues and Judo.  It is a bit old fashioned but I like it.  I don't like boxing and hip hop.  I am not a Jamaican guy from Brooklyn.  I'm a Syosset Jew.  But don't hold it against me.

So as time goes on, I will do what I must do to get to what I want to do.  If you were smart, you would check out my music on YouTube and Spotify.  It is free to you and it makes me 7 dollars for every 1000 streams.  It is old-fashioned music, but some people like this stuff.  At the very least, it is an exploration of the music of the climax.  The 1960s was a time when white kids and black kids were brought together with music.  Nowadays, black and white is more segregated than ever.

If you believe the media, it is white overclass and black underclass and Arabs are the enemy.  But this is just a delusion of the media.  They are lying to you.  All the problems in the world come from the myth of Aryan Supremacy.  If you don't believe in God, you think you are God.  And that is sin.

There are Latinos, Asians, and Jews who practice clean faith and live humble lives.  They are the real Israelites.  I hope I can grow my fanbase in South America.  I am sure I am a popular musician there.

So Music and Sport is what I enjoy.  So I will keep doing the work to get the play I want.  That is all I am trying to say.

Music Education

One of the things I keep stressing in this blog is education.  Knowledge is power not power is power.  The first thing you teach a child is nutrition.  By 15, you should be well versed in nutrition and healthy eating.

Another idea I keep reiterating is the 20 year or 10,000 hour rule.  It takes 20 years of one hour of practice per day, day in and day out, to master a skill.  I mastered Judo and Music.  Other people master other things.  I know yoga teachers, vegan chefs, guitar teachers, judo teachers, sparring coaches, practitioners of massage, etc...  If you start between the ages of 8 and 15 on your hobbies, by the time you are in your late twenties or early thirties, you will be a young master.  The late twenties and early thirties is the best part of a human being's life.

Don't waste your life.  And don't neglect your children.  They shouldn't just go to school and enjoy television and video games and the internet when they are not in school.  Get them involved in extra-curricular activities or they will be helpless later.  Practice your hobbies long enough, and they become your profession.  Most people will not do what I say, impregnate their high school girlfriend, and end up in a dead end job just to pay the bills to support their spouse and children.  Even a gorilla can find a mate, reproduce, and support it's offspring.  So a life of work and women is no better than that of an animal.

I am glad I am 41 and have no wife or children.  I did other things with my life.  I mastered judo, I mastered rhythm guitar, I mastered TCM theory, I write, I draw, and I am close to mastering cooking.  So I am an exceptional human being.

There are other forms of success besides money and children.  I consider myself a uniquely gifted human being.

I have 5 albums on Spotify and YouTube right now.  I had a first album called Money and Women that came off the internet.  And I have another album coming soon.  This new one will be all electric and feature vocals.

Now that Judo is less age appropriate, I can switch my focus to music.  Music is not dependent on speed, power, timing, or reflexes.  It is a creative expression.  I can still practice Judo in a diminished capacity than when I was in my late twenties.  20 years is a huge period in a human being's lifespan.  It is a generation, and it takes 20 years to master a skill.

So I use judo to be a better musician and a better copywriter.  When I am sitting infront of the microphone with my guitar in my hand, I am totally confident in myself.  I wouldn't be able to do that without judo.  Judo makes you tough.  I also apply to copywriting jobs with no fear of failure because I know how talented I am and if the client doesn't hire me it is their loss not mine.

There are a lot of combat sports and martial arts to get involved in.  Boxing and Tae Kwon Do is pretty cool but has more to do with self defense and ego and less with moral education.  Grappling and MMA is for punks.  Judo can be used for physical education and has more uses than just its efficacy in self defense.  When you randori and compete, and get indifferent to winning and losing, it makes you mentally tough.  This is a good quality for life.  Not to be dissuaded by the outside world.

So I had some boxing potential but decided to switch to Judo because I had high minded ideals.  Whether that was a good decision or a bad decision doesn't matter.  I can't go back in time.  But I can deal with the situation now.

I think, moving forward, that I should take some music education courses at the local community college.  I would like to be around musicians and people who know music theory.  The history of rock n roll fascinates me.  Since the mid 1950s, rhythm and blues became rock n roll and since 1970, the past 50 years have been an explosion of creativity.  You can do so much with so few chords.

So Copywriting can be a job, Judo can be an exercise, and Music can be a hobby.  I live a full life and not having a wife or child doesn't matter.  I have created things greater than children.

But I enjoy music the most, and wish to hang out with musicians and music teachers.  That is why this blog post is called Music Education.  The post is about music and it is about education.

So word to the wise, educate yourself, and do what you love.

Nothing New Since Plato vs Artistotle

All Philosophy started with the Hellenic Greeks.  You could even say high culture began with the Hellenic Greeks.  Philosophy creates culture.

To this day, in Academia, people still learn Plato and Artistotle.  There is not much new in the realm of philosophy.  The basic idea was, Plato believed the idea exists in heaven and the idea shapes the reality.  But Artistotle saw it the other way.  He said, be ignorant, observe nature and what really works, then base your conclusions on what you observe.

I am more like Aristotle than Plato.  A good scientist knows he doesn't know.  There is an element of humility in science.  If you are biased, egocentric, a xenophobe, or a retard, you won't make a good scientist.  The Chinese are the best scientists because they are the least egotistical and proud and are open to what is.

The Ancient Greeks had a lot to offer modern man, that was Nietzsche's whole idea.  They loved combat sports like boxing, wrestling, and MMA.  They were secular yet educated.  There was upward mobility in their society.  They valued philosophy and the arts.  They took care of hygiene and health.  You could say all Western culture comes from the Greeks the way all Western religion comes from the Hebrews.

So there is nothing new in philosophy.  You either live in the realm of ideas and scientific theories and mathematical equations, or you simply observe what works.  You can study all your life and still be largely ignorant of many things.

Western Medicine is based on reductionist science.  They do cadaver studies, so they know the way a human being is really made up.  They do studies in Academia with mathematical equations and scientific theories.  And they experiment constantly, even in the use of new medicines.

But there is another kind of science.  There is empirical science, where the scientist observes what works in the real world, and draws his conclusions on what actually works in real life scenarios.  This is what TCM is based on.  Observation.  The Chinese have been agrarian the longest, so they have had civilization the longest.  So they've seen generations come and go.

Chinese culture is more like Aristotle.  A good doctor can diagnose the patient just by looking at him or listening to his words.  He doesn't need fancy machines or diagnostic equipment.  And blood tests don't tell much about what is going on inside the human body.

So you can live in the world of ideas or the world of reality.  Accept reality.  It is what it is.

I love music the most, but I don't see it making a full time income for me.  And I will never be the Beatles or even Mariah Carey.  At best, I can be a copywriter during the day and play music during the evenings and weekends. I can also teach kickboxing and Aikido because i am qualified.

So there is hope for me.  I am stable on my budget and more or less money is not the issue.  By observing what the market wants, what businesses are profitable, and what I really need to do with my life, I can assess what is best for me.  I should teach Aikido and sell articles online and keep doing music every day.

My college education didn't really help me, but my hobbies did.  You learn by doing.  Only through experience do you gain skill.  If you do something one hour per day for 20 years, you become the master.  So get children involved in extra curricular activities between ages 8 and 15.  Their youth is the foundation of their entire life.  Don't waste your youth.

If I could, I'd teach children what I know.  But I don't socialize well.  So maybe I can teach through the written word, by writing books and blogs and selling articles. Music is educational too.  And Aikido is an education in survival and winning without a fight.  There is more to the martial arts than Karate and MMA.

So Philosophy is not a waste of time and is not an optional subject.  Quite the contrary, philosophy is the most important thing you can learn.  Life begins in your mind.  By taming the mind, you master the self.  And then life is a breeze.

So in conclusion, I like Aristotle, the Chinese, and Nietzsche a lot more than Plato, Western Science, and Western Medicine.  Don't be biased.  don't live in fantasy land.  Don't force the idea onto the reality.  But be natural and simple and humble.

It is what it is.
